Can I cheat and go Home Debut.... Stan Collymore - hat trick v Sunderland -
"Newcastle appear to have called off their chase for Maddison and are looking for a low-cost alternative to fix their attacking issues....." Seems by the scoreline it ain't broken so doesn't need fixing

Why don't we............ Hang out the negotiations until the last moments of the window then give Rudkin the Fax machine. Sorted. -
Always the half empty this site. Given his closeness to the owners and (I believe) his love for the club I'd like to think that there was a bit of selflessness in this act. He will know that not having to pay his enormous wages will unplug the bottleneck for new players. Kasper

Brentford - 2022, with all Under 21's playing (plus Vestegard as captain) after rest of first team squad was bought by Chelsea and Newcastle 24 hours before kickoff. -
Wouldn't the problems be: 1) Guessing what the right level at which to set the release clause. Who would have guessed Kante would have been worth £60m+ when we bought him for tuppence. 2) If the release clause is set very high to guard against the Kante situation then the wages the player demands would be commensurate with it.

Think I'd sooner shut down the transfer window itself.

Maybe he has been mentoring Iverson and .... (Going to leave the next bit for you each to fill in according to individual views)

That's better than Manu, arsenal and chelsea

Ah yes, personal health insurance.

It'll all be on wages instead - imagine....Vesty on £90 gazillion a week

Thing is, you're not likely to do an ACL writing a tender (say) so it's not like for like situation and not comparable.
-
Why........would we spend £50m on a replacement goalie whose wages would be not far short of the one who we let go because we needed to reduce the wages bill. Can we close the whole topic down, not just the thread. Peeps are getting sun-stroke

Concerned for next season?
Frank Large's Black Book replied to foxfanazer's topic in Leicester City Forum
Let's face it we're over a barrel and every team/player/agent knows it. No-one knows outside the club what the real situation is but IF the finances are balanced and IF the team performs well this season it will allow the rebuild (?) to take place in 12 months time. A fail in either will be dangerous -

Finally something worth reading in the Murky. -
I have absolutely no problem with anyone running their contract down. None whatsoever. Understand? Is that clear enough? The silly buggers I'm referring to is what is appearing in print and on-line attributed to "people close to Youri". You can't miss it. Or maybe you have. I am not ITK (unlike some on here) but I reckon I should be allowed to put a perfectly reasonable thought that isn't a comment on Youri but a comment on the possible effect. It could be he's being "played" by Arsenal of course. Disagree by all means, but don't sneer.

IF...... we are being being played by Your then it could prove to be a real shame. LCFC have stuck by and supported players through injuries and personal problems when they could have just waved them goodbye as other clubs do. I'll reserve judgement until it's all played out but if he ends up having been proved to be playing silly b*ggers then the club may think twice in the future and be more hard nosed. Everyone loses. Bar one.
