  1. Not sure about others but sometimes I say we're going down to League 1 to everyone but deep down think it's quite unlikely and I'm using it more like a coping mechanism.

After yesterday it really does feel now we're going down.

We've had no new manager bounce and we simply look like we have no idea how to win a football match anymore.

There was something about yesterday which really does make things ominous.

Each game should be now like a cup final for our survival but we just rock up and it really looks like we'll just now run out of games and be down.

Not suggesting we’ll suddenly pick up loads of wins but he has to do something different during matches when making subs.
Changing players like for like won’t make a difference.
Change the system play 2 up front.
I know the options available are shit but it has to be something that the opposition isn’t expecting especially at home.
Put Mavididi or Fatuwo thru the middle or put 1 of them alongside Daka.
Taking Fatuwo off for Mavididi or Monga and Daka for Ayew offers nothing different for the opposition.

    100 % agree.

Can't believe we're still playing the same system after all these managers with the same outcome.

I'd raise you one further and throw Hutchinson in there. He can't be any worse than Daka or Ayew and if he didn't score in 5 games and is abhorrent at that level, then nothing lost anyway...

I have a sneaky feeling he'd bag though...

  3. There's something about Rowett that I haven't seen since Claudio , Nigel F Pearson and possibly before him MON. Edit - Thinking back also Micky Adams had it as well.

It's hard to describe but It's a way with the media and how he comes across that will put him good stead for when things go wrong - which it inevitably will as is does eventually with any manager.

MON and NFP had this ability to be straightforward with the media, being able to protect their players at the right time, hanging out certain players almost passively aggressively when needed, a bit of self protection and also the ability to keep the fans on side.

As soon as Ruud, Marti, Cooper, Puel and especially Rodgers opened their mouths I could tell almost instantly that they will struggle when things start going bad as they didn't have that ..... Not sure what to call it ... spark?  Nack?

Part of the first team coaching staff it was in the article put out by the club announcing Rowett. I know people say we did king dirty but this is the 4th manager he has got to work and learn under he is getting a valuable education in the game here.

Trouble is all the managers played Ayew upfront on his own, including himself so not sure they're good role models.

  5. Couple of things in his interview I found interesting:

He said "get my hands dirty" I interpreted this as dealing with the sh**y characters.

He also said "we all know what the problems are" which implied the owners have ran the club into the mud!
