Yeah it’s crap, and you just can go to ground so early and easily as Faes does in that position, it’s suicide against a half decent dribbler

Faes made it very difficult for everyone else in fairness, and Iling-Jr was very cool, composed. Calm finish under pressure.

I quite like Daka, I just daren’t say it on here 🤣 I think this all works a lot better with him leading the press, and it has proven to be better every time we’ve tried it imo.

We have, we just can’t create good quality chances for all of our good play. And whilst it’s probably unfair to blame Ayew for all of it, he’s certainly high up the list of reasons.

The ball is on over the top so often that we should really have Daka up there to pin them back a bit. At least we’d be playing with 11 men even if he can’t finish.

I’ve gone from wanting Ayew to play but not at 9 to never wanting to see his face ever again…

I don’t want Faes. I was just saying I understand why the manager might revert to a championship winning centre back partnership, given Nelson looked very poor when given a chance, and Okoli has been giving the ball away repeatedly when trying to play out. I’d prefer if Faes was sold personally, but he’s still here…
