To be fair his amazing season was 3/4 years ago and his only hugely prolific one. The reviews from pomp fans suggest he is now half the player he was and in reality, he has scored 3 goals in the last 2 season. Safe to say, not prolific anymore. It’s a risk like all transfers but given his age and resale value as well as his realistic wage for this level, 2 years is less of a risk and what we should be doing. If we can’t shift other “experienced” players on then 3 years make even less sense. For me this is similar to BDR and that hasnt worked at all. chaplin is ok for this level but 2 years would be better.

Massivr no from me unless we sell players on. Jesus we are in league one, probably ok to have an academy keeper as 3rd choice. Waste of wages in my opinion.

Because we need players with fire in their belly, and some sell on value. He has been on a slow decline and his pourtsmouth stint last season shows this. He is on a free from a team bsck in prem so won’t be cheap. I don’t overly rate this signing, so for me 2 years would be better than 3.

You would think so, haven’t seen that too much over recent years. Aluko not getting over the performance of our fullbacks and mavs starting every game is an example of that.

Ok with Chaplin in we can shift Bobby on. More happy out Chaplin than Ings. Both players from the black book and hugely boring .

There is literally nothing positive from this club at the moment. There are a few bits I would change but it’s pretty nice. Done pretty well IMO.

Unfortunately it’s going to get a lot worse before it changes.

Another signing where we are just trying to replicate the Jonny Evans pick up. It worked once, now it seems it a consistent strategy. Coady, Bennett, Ayew, BDC it’s not working, stop doing it.

It just too little too late. Club have mismanaged his career and development. signing Coady and okoli are examples of this, neither should have played for us and Nelson should have another’s 40-50 appearances in prem or champ, I can’t imagine he wants to be here and can see why. He will develop into a decent defender and will be playing at a higher level than us.
