Will Still?

Yeah, Dom Ballard would be the poacher that we need next season in L1
I think he’s achievable, understand why others don’t. Would also look at Jatta at Notts County, Robbie Ure at Sirius in Sweden and Tolaj at Plymouth.
so I look forward to it being Lyndon Dykes

The litmus test for me on if we’ve done a “refresh” during the summer. If he’s still here, we are in trouble.
Similar to Faes/Soumare last summer

Just want to add in here, as an aside, that Jake Evans isn't making much impact at Northampton either. It's a massive ask for a teenager to get thrown in to senior football especially one so young. That's not to say that he and Monga will never make it but its not exactly damning that they're only getting bits of first team football right now, they're right at the start of their journey.
KDH had his breakthrough season at 22, King was 20 and in League One, Chilwell was going on 22. It's not just learning the game, most teenagers still have loads of physical development to do, the likes of Rooney, Bale, Owen, Walcott and co are massively rare (and nearly all of them had major injury problems towards the later stage of their career.)
We've got a few that are of the age we'd expect to start seeing them break through and Silko Thomas doesn't look like he'll be good enough, Alves has had a horrific injury but even so he's not having any real impact at Huddersfield in League One. The only of our young loanees that's doing particularly well is Braybrooke, who flopped in the SPL but is finding his feet in League Two but there's no hiding from the fact he's about 5ft flat and all of 6 stone dripping wet and constipated.
We might never see any of these kids make it. With or without us.
Agree with the premise of this, but think Northampton fans have definitely seen the talent in Evans, but yes, he’s obviously going to be inconsistent at 17.
Braybrooke a really good example of someone hitting his development now in his early 20s - we shouldn’t forget his injury basically put him a year back. He’s got a fair shout to being the best player in league 2 and his defensive numbers are good for a smaller player - no doubt to me he’s ready for league 1 next year

Ethan Pye from Stockport
Dom Ballard from Orient
New RB&LB (I actually think the core of our leftover squad is set up for 3-4-3 next year, so wingbacks)
experienced CM and CF for squad depth

We’d have been better off in 2026 if we kept Dean smith, we’d have been better off this season under Ruud.
I think when you’re in a position like we were under Cooper or Marti you have to roll the dice, but under these owners it’s often a bigger gamble than sticking with whoever is underperforming.
I was calling for Marti to go, but in hindsight Rowett has been worse imo.
Cooper was just an absolute disaster who set us back massively after Enzo had actually coaxed a good squad harmony together. The worst appointment since Peter Taylor

Ffs why did the fans not support in the 2nd half as well!

I like Rowett, think he’s a good bloke…but…and I know I’ll get pelters for this.
We’d have been better off getting Russell Martin

As much as your sentiment is right, this would be absolute suicide. You need some sort of experience as well as physicality in league one. This team reeks of physical weakness.
So I completely agree actually - and similar to bringing in Powell, Berner, Dickov last time we went down to league 1, and keeping the likes of Howard and Oakley - we will 100% need some experience and physicality.
I suppose my sentiment is more, there is a core of youngsters we have to build around and I just hope we don’t bring in the league 1 equivalents of Winks and Coady

Milwall at home will confirm it - we don’t win again all season

Similar to a couple on here, I’d go similar to how we set up at end of Sheff.
Stolarczyk
Ricardo Okoli Lascelles Thomas
Fatawu Skipp Winks BDCR
Ayew. Daka
the only alternative for me is a change of shape:
Stolarczyk
Okoli Lascelles Vestegaard
BDCR Winks Skipp Thomas
Fatawu. Ayew
Daka

Vestergaard surely just goes back to Denmark
Probably, or Germany, could see us just agreeing to rip his contract up. Similar with Faes and Winks.
i also think we are nailed on to appoint Chris Davies after Brum sack him in the summer
-
Stolarczyk
Aluko Nelson Vestegaard Thomas
Braybrooke Skipp
Evans. Page. Monga
Hutchinson
part of me would snap your hand off for that starting 11 in league 1 next year, as would mean we haven’t wasted money on absolute garbage again.
Do think it’s likely Vesty and Nelson leave after relegation though

Amount of shit quality passing, crosses or finishing is just utterly unforgivable
-
Never the right man, we still look toothless. In fairness to him, we are utterly shit
-
Cifuentes was getting more out of this side than Rowett is - late on it stunk out abit yes, and his results overall were better than performances, but even pretty late on in his reign Marti got the win at Derby and a good first half performance at Coventry.
Simply, the players haven’t been good enough. Our inability to play 5 yard passes is infuriating and our individual defending is an absolute joke.
But to say there’s been an uplift under Rowett is honestly something I just don’t see. We went for an organiser, but actually what we needed was someone who could actually get us playing some decent football

Stolarczyk
Ricardo Okoli Lascelles Thomas
Skipp Winks
Fatawu. James. Mukasa
Mavididi
If James is injured, Monga in and shift Mukasa to the middle
-
If we got relegated I’d take Alassana Jatta on a free from Notts county

Right. And soon he will be out of contract. And we have to try sign him if we stay up. We can’t risk him playing for another championship team.

Can’t wait for us to get relegated and the KPFC lot to blame everything other than our 6 point deduction and inability to bring a centre forward in.

8/10 penalty record before today - not elite but solid enough, was the right choice

Probably to get a fee in the summer
I’d imagine it’s this, he needed to really show himself too good for Newport, like Braybrooke did, and hasn’t.
Maybe a slight contingency too as a 3rd choice striker if we go down

I’ve had a request from Jordan. We need to be doing some ‘House Music’ ones apparently 👍🏼
I’ll leave that to the experts @Libertine over to you 😆
To the tune of House Every Weekend
We’ve been shit, there’s no need to fake it
at least we don’t watch Faes every weekend, I just couldn’t take it.
hes out on loan at Mon-a-co, at mon-a-co, at mon-a-co
We don’t watch Wout Faes every weekend
