  1. Deeply worrying that it appears Faes hasn’t knocked on the door and demanded to leave. Don’t get me wrong, likely does alright in League 1, but the guys such a dick.
  2. This. McCarthy isn’t a bad backup option, but is he really coming to us on backup league 1 wages? Even more alarming if he’s coming in to be first choice and we cash in on Stol.
  3. Granted, could only go off highlights, but promising signs on Otchere and Hutchinson, who both looked physically ready for league 1. Glad for Alves too, needed something like today to just give him a boost - I’ve always felt he’s more at home centrally, surprised by his pace to get to the ball on his 2nd goal
  4. Sheff Wednesday sign Louie Barry. We sign Danny Ings. Weve learnt nothing - we continue to make the same mistakes. A horrific joke of a club
  5. It’s not actually a bad fee. He’s worth more yes but we are in a weak selling position and could have easily had our pants pulled down at tribunal by Arsenal. Interested to see if they end up sending him out on loan.
  6. Meh, it’s okay, as others have said, way too adidas BC Game makes it automatically garbage
  7. he’s having a coffee, he’s not exactly quaffing champagne is he. Have a day off guys
  8. No chance Fuchs comes in, Martin would know that the minute it turns a little sour, the fans will be pushing for Fuchs to replace him. Imagine that a) Fuchs likely has another number 1 role lined up, and b) Newport are financially unable to do enough this summer to improve on relegation scrap
  9. I’ve seen a burton fan suggest that it’s a sign they’ve sold Webster to us, and it’s part of that deal. 99% likely to be tin foil hat, but who knows
  10. Hake looks interesting, a few underwhelming spells but did well at Go Ahead Eagles. This is worth a read. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/rene-hake-go-ahead-eagles-tactical-analysis-tactics-analysis id take him over Martin but he doesn’t blow me away
  11. Challinor to us, Martin to Leuven
  12. It’s making me dislike the fact we won the premier league…the amount of posting over a charity match that finished 0-0 is mind numbing
  13. If I’m Challinor, I’d probably see us as the more attractive job. Zero compensation, proven promotion winner - we should be all over it.
  14. It’s a great game of “did they play for Stoke or West Brom” tbh
  15. What an EFL all stars team that is. Can’t help but feel the club announced this match would take place and then about a month later thought “****ing hell we best actually see who can play”
  16. If he wants a career as a head coach then probably, made an almighty mess of the Salzburg job - but would probably get a lot out of our situation, youth team and training facilities.
  17. Tielemans never looks bothered by the occasion when it comes to long shots - has a really good ability to just focus on the technique. also quite underrated by our fan base, was brilliant for us for vast majority of his time.
  18. Deeply concerned about his record without Adi Viveash
  19. I hear Tonda Eckert will be available soon
  20. Johnny Kenny from Celtic. Great record on loan at Bolton after January, and the right age profile too. Imagine they look to strengthen at centre forward in the summer which might just keep him out of the first team picture again
  21. Raheem Sterling doesn’t miss the penalty against Chelsea in the cup. They go on to spank us 6-0. Chelsea then don’t have any interest in Enzo that summer. We still get promoted, don’t sell KDH and despite a points deduction Enzo keeps us up. Top then gets offered too much money to turn down and the club is sold to new ownership.
  22. Id happily take Cozier Duberry as Abdul’s replacement
  23. Kante, Mahrez and Vardy in 15-16, however, the latter two solely on form. Peak Kante was just a cheat code, and he showed it the next season at Chelsea, then with France in the World Cup and when Chelsea in the champions league. Just an incredibly gifted generational footballer in that role
  24. For me it’s: Ambitious/Big Name Patrick Vieira Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Will Still Lee Carsley Unpopular “style” pick Russell Martin Ruben Selles Wilfried Nancy Sensible Dave Challinor Nigel Pearson Tony Mowbray Left Field Jimmy Thelin - ex Aberdeen Andreas Engelmark - Sirius Albert Sanchez - Dunkerque, former Barca B
