The handling of the schools as really been poor. Like you say there was no thought put into it. The amount of holidays schools have could have easily been played around with so as to allow January and part of February to have been holidays. Yet instead the kids were still having half term in October and will still be having a fortnight at Easter with another half term not long before and after. That’s 4 or 5 weeks without even thinking about reductions to the summer break. Yes it would have been a bit inconvenient for some people but a lot less inconvenient that cancelling exams and trying to home school.

I can’t spend money at the moment. Still got clothes people bought me from last Xmas and my birthday I haven’t worn so dont need or want any new clothes. Can’t go for a beer a meal or weekend away and had two holidays cancelled. So likely if they are like me they have plenty of spare cash but unlike me they’ve found something to spend it on 😂

If what they say happened is the truth you can understand their annoyance and if those were the facts they win in Court reading what the legal expert says. Whether their version is correct is far from certain and we may never know.

I think you are right. My mate is a window cleaner and for about fortnight of the original lockdown he didn’t think he could work. There was some sort of announcement sometime after the lockdown started if I remember right about 14 days into it where they said something about who could work and all of a sudden loads of self employed workers like him started up again.

I can sort of picture him being like Kante and running to and back from training.

Seriously wonder how many people who watched us beat Villa at home last March would have believed that would be the last time they’d get to go to the ground until probably August of 2021 !

I certainly won’t miss the heart attacks I nearly get when Hamza has the ball on the edge of our box or when I see him about to lunge in for a tackle.

Yes goes without saying if we leave three up the opposition will have to leave three back minimum. I’d rather us leave at least three back ourselves when we have a corner. I’m so concerned these days with us conceding from our own corner via a counter that it’s reached the stage where I’m worried when we get a corner 😜. Long gone are the days where we scored most of our goals from set pieces with Walsh, Taggart, Elliott and co all a threat.

The more I think about it the more I think leaving 2 or even 3 players up field ready for a counter is a great plan. That said having a goalkeeper that can come and claim some corners himself would make it an even more effective policy. A keeper catching a corner and quickly throwing or kicking up field towards those players would make the tactic far more dangerous.
