Leeds don’t need to score as much because they have the best defence in the league, they’ve conceded 3 goals in 2024. Southampton score a lot but concede a lot too (comparatively speaking). I think they’re out of the race for automatics now. 10 games in 36 days is brutal.

Eh? Southampton have a ridiculously congested fixture list and play three top 6 sides (all away) while Leeds play 1 and Ipswich play none. Southampton are totally screwed. I say us and Leeds top 2, probably both around 100 points Ipswich’s leaky defence will hurt them.

Probably their worst performance since before Christmas tbf - yet they still won with a clean sheet. Not sure you can count on them being that poor when they play us. They also beat us when they were a much worse team than they currently are. 1 goal conceded in 8 games says it all. They’re the strongest team in the league defensively right now.

Leeds went from 2 wins in 17 to 3 wins in 6 after appointing Gracia. If you want to dismiss that immediate improvement after they sacked Marsch then more power to you. And you’re right, Potter has never been a particularly good manager. He still did far better with Brighton last season than Marsch did with Leeds this season though. Some heads well and truly in the sand on here.

He had 2 wins in 17 at Leeds, he’s failed almost everywhere he’s gone, and didn’t even do well at Salzburg, where they are expected to win everything every year youd have to be blind to think Marsch is the answer, but fans will always delude themselves into thinking an awful appointment will be different at their club

Forgot about them to be honest! They haven’t really improved at all and are still hamstrung by FFP so they’ll be right down there too.

Think Brentford and Forest will go down - Brentford were heading for relegation before Eriksen arrived and now he’s off. They don’t have the financial clout of clubs like Leeds or Fulham so they’re automatically at a disadvantage. Second season syndrome is a bitch, as Sheff Utd and Leeds found out. With Forest, play-off winners often struggle, and I don’t think Neco Williams or Lewis O’Brien are good enough to offset their largely poor squad quality overall. Bournenouth or Southampton for the third spot, but have seen a few people saying Wolves could be in trouble too.

If Milan don’t stump up the money then I suspect he’ll go to Leeds anyway, even if he doesn’t really want to. Always worth remembering that Raphinha left CL football with Rennes to sign for newly promoted Leeds, and now look at him - highly sought after by Europe’s best. Going to Leeds was better for his development than staying in France, and it would be better for CDK than staying in Belgium. Unless we can also match Leeds’ bid of 35m but there haven’t been any serious links to us for a while so I doubt it. It’s Milan or Leeds it seems (and make no mistake, CDK for Leeds would be an unbelievable coup, he’s far too good for them).

People are always desperate for Leeds to fail so it’s not surprising fans of other clubs are playing down your transfers. Personally think your squad last season was massively imbalanced and too reliant on Phillips and Raphinha. You should have more quality across the board. Sinisterra particularly is a great signing. No love for Leeds being surrounded by them all the time but think you’ll do fine next season. No great shakes but 14th or so. Think Brentford losing Eriksen is a bigger blow for them.

York is honestly nowhere near as posh as people think - especially compared to Harrogate, Cambridge and Oxford - all of which currently have EFL clubs. Likewise with Wimbledon, and arguably Brighton (though nowadays it’s less posh and more hipster).
