I really like this line from the report in the Stoke Sentinel: Sixteen games to go until the end of the season and the rest of the division probably can’t wait to see the back of them.

262 pages in and this is the first time I’ve felt the need to comment on the atmosphere and the crap some folk come out with! I’m nearly 60, probably look about 70, and I sing and jump about at the back of SK1 more than most around me. An example of how age is not relevant is last night when a bunch of ‘lads’ came and stood at the back of the singing section moaning that there was no atmosphere where they were and they wanted to join in and add something to the atmosphere. After they just chatted for a while and offered nothing to the team I pointed out the irony of it all. To be fair, after that they occasionally clapped and uttered a few words of encouragement. Finally, when I look down at the singing section at the rows and rows of silent and motionless (young and old) people I sadly realise there is no hope! Add to the section, move it or disband it will make no overall difference. Thankfully, knowing I have done my very best for the team helps me sleep at night…but that might also be an age related sleep disorder!

I’m surprised more people have not mentioned JustPark or one of the other ‘park on my drive’ options. I use them for just about every away game and costs, on average, a fiver! For this game I’m on a private driveway 10 mins away from the ground. Got to be worth a look rather than buses and taxis!

Felt like a loss at the time but I’m pretty sure we got a point 😉

He was so good last night I was desperate to get his song going…if only I could remember the bloody words! It got a great airing at the West Brom away game to the tune of voulez-vouz so perhaps we can try again at the Birmingham match?

For some odd reason you’ve listed the Cardiff allocation in the Coventry thread. The tickets for that game have not yet been released!

What a ridiculous statement! I was in that section and I can assure you it was carnage. Were you just watching on tele in the comfort of your living room?

Was there for the Yorkshire game last Sunday. Thoroughly enjoyed it and watched a great win but the poor attendance and lack of atmosphere made the King Power look like prime Legia Warsaw!

I once organised a function at the club that overlooked the pitch. This was the image John created at the time. It was an absolute show stopper!

Great post! I was there and this is exactly how it panned out. Our support was excellent given the very trying circumstances!

Likewise - booked the same direct flights for £50 return. Some of the other options are horrendous in terms of stop overs and overall length of journey!
