Russell Martin would've hated the England performance last night.
Bet he was shuddering watching all the expansive attacking football.
Didn’t watch the first half? There was a lot of playing out the back and subsequently losing possession. Until the penalty I thought I was watching Leicester.

So has the offside rule changed?
The officials can now pick any part of the body to check against.

Gordon’s playing??

Maybe our players should have reviewed Emma Hayes’ blackboard.

How long til we see the first inkling of broken promises by the board?
he’ll be no different in being sold a lieWhen we get the ‘outgoings before incomings’ interview.
Although you would expect he has a bit of sense. We are in league 1. He’s hardly going to have a 30 mil kitty to sp4nk on ball playing center backs.

Hated him before he was appointed. How is that being fickle?

I hope this makes sense, but it's going to be really hard to 'judge' him positively until next season.
This season the bare minimum is promotion. The absolute bare minimum is to get this team out of the division. Even if we win with 99 points it means nothing to me personally. Get us up. Do your job.
Next year will be key - if we're doing well, his football is bedded in and we're challenging or right up there then that's positive. Bumble around the mid-table or bottom and he'll have failed in what he's been bought here to do which is to get us back to the Prem.
His League 1 expectations are up, no questions asked, no leeway given.
I can't see that becoming a reality though, he'll make an enemy of the fans and throw players under the bus if he needs to. Also wouldn't be surprised if he toddled off at the first sniff of interest from other clubs if we are top of the league, too.
Oh what a lovely thought that is.

So play the kids then.
Aluko could be an athletic machine, if given the licence to.
Everytime he showed a bit of intensity Winks would come along and motion to slow down. We are allergic to any intensity.

Wishing RM good luck. I think he's a marmite manager. I'm not impressed so far tbh
Marmite implies some fans like him.
Dare you to find a fan that thinks he’s any good.

Proppa your mum’s “new friend”, I know a guy, owns a local recruitment agency, was fat at school then got semi attractive but never lost his chip, “have you ever just sat in your own silence?”, roll neck under jacket, “hey listen guys” ****.
Guy like this joined as a consultant for a company I used to work for. Became tee-total vegan and in his catchups with the team used to talk about his cold shower routines. Totally useless but management thought he was a genius.

Nothing like a bit of due diligence.
Martin suggested "less change so quickly" may have been a better approach and alluded to a lack of "cohesion" during his early period in charge.
"There was so much change," said the former MK Dons, Swansea City and Southampton boss.
"I walked in to the club at a time of new owners that had literally been in there two weeks when I came in. New director of football, chief exec, head of performance, new head coach, 14 new players.
"I tried to stress a lot that it probably would take some time so that's my fault because I was in a place where historically and traditionally you don't really have time.
He will have about 15 minutes with most of us.

He's a big, beautiful footballing genius.
Its the rest of us that have it all wrong.

Heres a conspiracy theory for you, weve been arse licking Enzo for so long to maintain a good relationship and hes promised us to be a feeder club aslong as we carry on his style of play so thats why they went for russel martin and maximum man city loans a year
Enzo will put 100% into his new job. He will not give a sh1te about us and rightly so. Loans will come our way if they benefit Man City, and only if.
My conspiracy theory is that our arse licking of Man City meant that we had to guarantee Mukasa game time.

And yet he would be better than RM to sort us out and get us back towards being close to being a yo-yo club.
Marti was worse than GR.
So was RVN.
Oh and Pooper.
No. Rowett the worst of the lot.

Oh - dont think for one minute they will be embarrassed about this.
They will think this is a coup. He's got PL and SPL experience, got the beloved Southampton promoted and supposedly plays football the 'right way'.
6 games in, Top will be shaking his head at the KP wondering why we dont love him after a 1-1 draw where we had 80% possesion.

It was so bizarre wasn't it? We'd be turned over and he'd sound like he was a pundit criticising another manger!
"Tactically they just weren't there today and none of the players were really trying and that has been the problem since I joined..."
Cheers for the insight Gary!
Then tell us that they dont know how to play any other way. As if it wasnt he job to even try.

Most impressive thing he did was take that holiday in Portugal. Drivel.

Toxic club - an inconvenient truth about our fans

I will accept many things. But referring to Russell Martin as some sort of 'poor sod' who deserves my pity - nah.
