cannot wait for the inevitable radio Leicester phone in calling fans entitled after booing an opening day 4-0 defeat at home to Bromley. utterly rancid appointment.

    Same fans shouting 'FFFOORRRWARD'.

Then clapping Harry Winks, and saying our owners are lovely.

Nobody here seems to have picked up on my post quoting Talksport. Martin IS considering offers from other clubs in the UK and abroad. His appointment is not a given thing.

In a way doesn’t matter. The fact they are all in with this is all we need to know. Doubt they are serious about anyone else, with only Rowett being left on hold.

    I’m hopeful next season.
All this talk of Hannah Waddingham, Lucy Pinder, Michelle Marsh and Sophie Howard gives me hope.
Not about football but it certainly cheers me up thinking of them.

Yeah, but we dont have to hire the biggest twat in football for you to think about them.

Regarding the energy demands of AI, how feasible is it really that data centres could be put in space?

Is the energy needed to put them there less than that required if they were situated on the  Earth instead, bearing in mind that they may need to be repaired and/or upgraded periodically?

Also what about ever-increasing space pollution and the increasing likelihood of debris in space becoming a danger for other satellites?

I'd genuinely like to read about the pros and cons, understanding that once the data centres are up there, they're powered by limitless solar energy.

Not my area of expertise, but i thought the heat dynamics dont really work in space. Sure its cold, but with no atmosphere you cant get the heat away from the hardware. I also image that real world latency would be a massive issue, as well general maintenence.

I had no idea Alan Nixon was such a sensitive soul, but it seems he doesn't take kindly to having his credibility questioned.

Nixon is sometimes right, but often wrong. That's the price of publishing stories that are essentially gossip he's heard from an agent rather than from somebody connected to the club. While he's the only one reporting it, there is still a good chance it's not true. Let's just hope the sky remains clear of unexpected Percy bombs...

Whats it say - i cant read the tweet (account owner limiting posts)

lots of players are extremely unhappy at being kept at the club against their wishes,

Maybe these players need to understand what a 'contract' is.

I think unfortunately he has become a victim of his surroundings and as much as we can shout until we are blue in the face about Rudkin, Top and the squad that took us down, some of the buck has to sit with us as fans.  It amazes me how quick fans jump on a player or selection of players when the going gets tough and they are not performing - it's going great when the kid is knocking in a hat-trick against Southampton, or setting up Vardy in his first game in the Prem, or scoring from inside his half, but we are quick to forget all the good.

I think people forget Fatawu only turned 22 in March, has recovered from an ACL injury which could have easily claimed his career, he has pushed himself since he was a kid to get to where he is and people jumping on his back every 5 seconds, how is that going to help him? One of the biggest problems is we have spent the last 12 years depending on one man getting us out of the sh*t, now he's gone, i think some fans earmarked Fatawu to be the next hero and it hasn't gone to plan.

He will leave Leicester and I am sure have an impact wherever he goes, as long as he is coached properly, something he only had when working under Maresca.

I wouldn't say people were jumping on his back every 5 seconds. From what i saw, Fatawu got a lot of love from the fans, and regardless what he did, i never heard anything other than some mild disgruntled mumorings towards him. The songs all tailed off towards the end of the season, but that was it. I think most of the critical comments have come since the end of the season.

That isn't a squad that's going to win the league any time soon. Especially when their best player is long term injured.

Liverpool need to get real with their rebuild. They need a keeper, a centre half, a midfielder and two wingers. All need to be starting 11 material.

Which is fun, because the amount they spent last summer transfer window was sickening.

Got it on good authority we haven't even spoken to Brussell this time around. However, I have always been convinced he ends up here at some point and staggered it hasn't happened yet.

Is this because we are not interested, or because we haven't spoken to anyone at all (other than Rowett??)

His style of football has run it’s course at this football club, a large section of the fanbase are bored with it.

The thing is, we haven’t been playing Russell ball. Martin dials up possession football ball to 11.

It’s like the board have decided the problem isn’t the style, it’s we aren’t committed enough to it.

As per my previous post not a huge fan of RM but for balance, they got relegated the season prior with an awful team who had all the hallmarks of a Nathan Jones side so I wouldn't describe them as a team of riches. Yes, a lot of those players cost decent money, but that doesn't necessarily equate to good Championship players as we have discovered this season. He got a very average group in terms of technical ability playing some decent football at times.

Nathan Jones lasted 8 PL games at Southampton after they sacked Hasenhüttl. I would say balming Jones for anything to do with Russell reign is a significant chunk of whataboutism.

You can’t say lucky tbf he took Southampton on a mad run after a hard start he had. He then went on to win the playoffs and beat Leeds in the final when everyone had them to lose.

That season had many mid / lower championship teams parking the bus and 'respecting' possession football too much. He had a team of riches that far surpassed those around him and his team made a meal of it. The Championship this season saw much less of that with the mid tier sides playing more aggressively.

It was a 1-0 over a Leeds team that had collapsed at the end of that season. Well done for doing it, but he couldn't have played them at a better time.

He went into a PL season ludicrously playing a system that got them annihilated, showing no self awareness or adaptability.  He then went to Rangers and completely messed it up.

The most worrying part for me is that he plays a style that exposes any fragility in the defence. He is like Brendan on Steroids passing sideways at the back inviting the press. We actually played less of that this season (still a bit mind you) but it was the worst part of our game. When the players he works with cant play his system (including Rangers) - he simply throws them under a bus.

give him the right players and he will be fine in this league.

RM has never proven he can do it with the right players. He was bloody lucky to get promoted with Southampton.

Any manager is going to have to be pragmatic with our players.

Russell Martin is the most ridiculous appointment we could make. The bloke has a pretty appalling record and the fans will be on his back from the first time someone passes it sideways. He would be sacked before Xmas.

We wouldnt sack by Christmas. We will do it 1 game after an international break.

I genuinely believe the lack of game time for young players last season was worse for the club than relegation itself.

It was the best opportunity to flush the rubbish and bring back some direction into the team and we wasted it. Now young players are looking at their prospects here and realising that older players will always be prioritised.

Getting relegated is the bigger problem. A 15 year old who isnt ready yet is not getting first team mins in a relegation battle.

Being a L1 club, there is no pathway for them anymore, as they have to break the first team to feature in L1. When he is ready, Motsi will get loans and it may be L1, and if he does well he they can bring him back.
