As much as I’m not a fan of Martin, I don’t think we get relegated with him in charge last season.

    Maybe.

Remember though that he is more of a play out the back merchant than any of the pep clones (Enzo included). Part of me wants to see his his Leicester team playing Brussell ball with Okoli, Vestergaard and Jakub. I think when out heads dropped we would have had some serious pastings.

Chelsea imo, should have got a points deduction, however it is a considered business rule breach, which Chelsea actually reported themselves under new ownership after Roman left and cooperated fully, and it’s very difficult to link the payments to agents being a deciding factor in the players in question going to Chelsea. The most clear factor in that players decision will nearly always be which club offered the biggest pay check not who’s paying their agent the biggest fee. At the time, not hard to imagine that being Chelsea. But, the bottom line is just because Chelsea situation wasn’t dealt with correctly doesn’t mean we should then going forwards let everyone off lightly does it. It’s about time penalties actually constituted a deterrent instead of being throw away fines that barely effect the offending club and hopefully this is the start of setting a precedent. The people complaining it’s too harsh are funnily enough the same ones saying other cases weren’t dealt with properly.

Its because Chelsea should have got a points deduction, but didn't, screams why people get so frustrated about how the different laws are dealt with. I think its very fair to point back to this - as it highlights favoritism where certain clubs seem to be able to get away with it. Certainly doesnt mean that we should not deal with things properly moving forward - although do you have faith next time it happens to Chelsea that they will deal with it properly? I don't.

Manchester City are still in court and people should really reframe from casting judgement on that case until it’s resolved.

In process for sure, but in the meantime Man City continue to win trophies and spend huge amounts of money (and make money from those assets).  Pep is going to leave, having been able to spend his whole career there benefiting from it. I get bored of hearing about it too, but again, its fair to point out. Part of me still thinks if this was a 'lesser' club that they would have been put under some sort of embargo somehow/where.

Personally I'm finding this bloody hilarious, it's like they've thrown a cat amongst the pigeons.

Southampton were right to be booted out, no sympathy there.. only a marginal amount to the fans but personally I can't stand Southampton so bloody good.

As for Hull and Middlesbrough, there's absolutely no way this is going to end well.. If Hull win, M'Boro will cite lack of time to prepare for the game etc. If M'Boro win, Hull will cite last minute change of team in the final. Either way it's going to be an exciting summer of fallout from this.. and I'm here for the fireworks HAHAHAHA.

If Hull win, Borough have nothing to complain about imho. They’ve been training all week anyway as they knew this was a likely outcome, and they’ve effectively been given a bye after they wasted so many chances in that first leg.

If Borough win, it’s a mess. Hull had to prepare for 2 opponents, and Borough were beaten in the previous round. I think Borough might have Hackney back, so they may have a stronger team.

Even if you believe Eckert's ridiculous defence that it happens all the time on the continent and he didn't know any better, then surely someone involved should have said "hang on a minute mate, that's not allowed in England".

They can't only blame the manager on this one. What sort of idiots at the club went along with it?

To only hold the manager accountable would be insane. No way would he on his own have made this decision. We are not talking Pep here, we are talking about a guy who come through the Academy, was interim and then got the gig first time. It would have needed sign off somewhere, and then there would have been the small matter of using the information in meetings etc.

If the manager could have done this on his own, and noone else at the club had an idea, its even worse from a governance perspective.

    What an absolute mess.

I’m dreading another season of JV walking to the halfway line, fake pass, roll back and then getting pressed and countered. Didn’t work in the prem or champ, maybe in L1.

I’m also dreading this happening, and then most of our fans thinking he is our best defender.

Imagine Mukasa will warn off any potential loan players

Mukasa was nowhere near good enough, and only got so much game time because he was from Man Cities academy.

Jordan James has been relegated for two different teams in the Championship, it’s not an indictment on his ability

Arguably Jordan James also has a big decision to make too, and Mads at times was a calamity for West Ham earlier in the season so im not convinced you can compare both exactly the same way. Jordan issue is his fitness - can he stay healthy enough to have a bigger impact at a higher level?

Chesterfield forum seem to unanimously agree Braybrooke is class and too good for the level. They also however seem to think he isn’t gonna stick around here.

I’ve wanted to watch more of him, and saw the last few games. He’s looked tidy and can see room for improvement. I wouldn’t say he looked class though. From what I saw he doesn’t affect the game enough. But out of a lot of our academy boys he’s the one I’m rooting for the most. Hope he can kick on for us next season.

So is this onside because it’s not the phase he scores from? It feels more offside than someone of those that get given.

Not offside. Ball wasn’t played to him and he came back onside when it was. Really poor from the lino.

Would score goals for fun in league 1 He's 2 years younger then Ronaldo who's about to play in a World Vup

Really needs to be a ban on the phrase 'score goals for fun in league x'.  Nacho and Daka were supposed to do this in the Championship. It never, ever happens.
