  1. Well they need to move back ! Yes I’m an Old Git.
  2. Could we please get rid of the drum in L block ! Whoever is drumming hasn’t a clue about what they’re doing. But even if he was Keith Moon (look him up you young’uns), WE DONT NEED A DRUM ! The drummer- They carry on drumming when people stop singing, so it just ends up with them drumming, which sounds crap. They drum to chants that don’t need a drum, for example the ‘Leicester, Leicester’ chant. It usually ends up being used by the away fans rather than L block. For example, Fulham (YES FULHAM, one of the worst supported teams in the league), used it yesterday to chant along to, and then they (this is FULHAM, we’re talking about) proceeded to take the mick out of us having a drum. Get rid now! PLEASE IT IS TINPOT. Learn some of the old songs and chants, YOU DONT NEED A DRUM !
  3. This lot were all top players for me: Shilton Glover Weller Worthington Wallington Lineker Wright Walsh Lennon Izzet Heskey Vardy Kante Best Player I’ve seen in a Leicester shirt? Mahrez. I know a lot of people feel he shat on us, moaning about wanting to leave, but his ability was unchallengeable.
  4. Anyone know of an away friendly pub near the ground? i have a knackered knee and will be dropped off at the ground, so I need a nearby pint !
  5. There it is again ! 😂 Looking forward to seeing you at the comedy festival in February 👍
  6. Hilarious. in a word no, as Blocks P and P1 are now not part of the ‘family section’. But thanks for your witty reply, never heard that one before !🥱
  7. Not sure who said that? I did state that I know away fans who said they rarely hear the kop. L BLOCK and P/P1 Blocks also rarely hear the kop. I said this to point out the obvious! Our ‘singers’ are spread around the ground therefore diluted. An atmosphere is often created through the banter between two sets of supporters. Look at games where away fans are poor, it often seems harder to get the atmosphere going.
  8. Firstly, may I say this is not a criticism of those trying to make the ‘singing section’ work. I won’t be popular for this, but as I’ve said before, the ‘singing section’ is in the wrong place. To create an atmosphere at the King Power, I feel L, P and P1 blocks either side of the away fans is the best position. Away fans I’ve spoken to honestly say that they can’t hear the fans from any area of the Kop, except on the very rare occasion when the whole Kop sing. The few games where L, P and P1 blocks have been up for it (often cup games last season where more ‘singers’ can buy tickets in P/P1), a good atmosphere has been created. All too late now though, we will continue to have our ‘noisier’ supporters spread over three areas (L Block, P/P1 Block and the new singing section), which dilutes the atmosphere.
  9. Okay, I know this has a been on here before, but I was so disappointed with hundreds (probably thousands) who left early on Thursday night against Roma. I know I’ll get slated, with people telling me to mind my own business, that people pay for their ticket & they have every right to leave early, they have to get a train to Harborough I’ve actually heard that before (shit, we must have massive support from there! ). It was the semi final of a European trophy, it was poised at 1-1, it was a good match. I can’t believe people make such great time savings by leaving early, that they are prepared to miss the conclusion of a game. AND THIS WAS THE SEMI FINAL OF A EUROPEAN COMPETITION!! Those leaving early DO affect others. They block peoples view as they leave, especially those with seats near the stairways. Also, the game finished and the players acknowledged the support of the fans, but they saw a stadium a third empty, that is pretty shabby. I watched the Leeds v Man City game on MOTD this morning, Leeds we’re losing 4-0, their fans sang throughout and stayed to applaud their teams efforts at the end. You can clearly see from me, I feel this is one facet of the increasingly shit atmosphere at our ground. The gentrification of football has led to a change in the average type of supporter. There are more and more ‘tourist supporters’ at Leicester. I don’t mean actual tourists from other countries, I’m fine if the odd visitor fancies seeing what a city game is like. I mean the local person who comes along expecting to be entertained, who at most, might clap their clapper, they come and contribute little to the atmosphere, rather than coming to support their local team and hoping for a win. Cue the flack !
  10. We have to admit it, supporters that are prepared to sing and chant are split into three relatively small groups (Union FS, L Block and a small but growing group at the back of P and P1). I really think it’s Blocks P and P1 which are now NOT part of the ‘Family Stand’, that we the supporters should develop. Don't wait on the club. Those in P and P1 do join in with anything L1 starts and vice-versa. if Union FS, next season, move into those blocks, we would have two areas either side of the away fans, that can join together and create a decent atmosphere. The Union FS bodies DO NOT have to sit all next to each other, so don’t moan about that. There will be pockets of groups of places available, so you will still be able to be with some mates. Spread throughout P and P1 they will further help to get the atmosphere in those blocks raised further. As always I’ll be shot down with some twat of a joker saying “let’s swap the Kop and the Family Stand”. I AM NOT SAYING THAT ! We which you would realise if you read my post properly. P and P1 are now officially not part of the Family Stand. Also, you don’t want those in the ‘Kop’ seats (it’s embarrassing that it is called a Kop, when a huge proportion just sit there in silence), all moving to P and P1, you want just the singers! Anyway, there you go, cue the naysayers 😂
  11. No they don’t. I had a season ticket at the back of P1 for years as me and a few others went together there with our kids. When our kids got to 18 we had to move, so we tried L1 but couldn’t get enough tickets together. So we thought we’d try to get tickets near Union FS and we managed to get a load of tickets at the back just a bit to the right of the Union FS lot (asa you look at the pitch). We would start a song and a few others around us joined in, Union FS never joined in, they would look over and then start some other song. This season we moved back to P1 as it is now not part of the family stand.
  12. For me it is our club song and should be played at the start of each game. Yes the Jersey Budd version is shit (prefer Louisa Armstrong’s). HOWEVER, it if has to be Jersey Budd’s fair enough. Get people behind it and sing it loud, something that is ours. As for the odd idiot on speed, who think’s it’s too slow! I’m sick of the fact some people sing at 1000mph and blur the songs/chants. Get off the drugs and sing properly.
  13. I thought the Tifo was fine, if you didn’t realise it represented an old shirt then shame on you. jersey Budd’s version of When You’re Smiling is Shit (it should be Frank Sinatra or Louis Armstrong’s version). HOWEVER, it’s an improvement on the stupid dance music they blare out and so I hope they play it every home game now and Ganda get behind it.
  14. No, please no. it is totally wrong. Ask those of us over 60. We remember it being sung at the correct pace (slowly), listen to Frank Sinatras version. There also was time at the end to do the bizarre Hand waving bit, which has been lost now because the younger generation appear to think it’s a race to finish the song. A real shame that we have lost this piece of club history.
  15. Would be great, but realistically putting our major focus on one of the cup competitions would be best. I just think though not easy, the teams left in the Europa League Conference are just a touch lower level compared to those left in the FA cup.
