The trouble with a plan B is that it's generally seen to be at odds with whatever a managers philosophy is, so at what point should a manager disregard their philosophy to try and get a result? And if the plan B doesn't achieve that result, what exactly is the point in your philosophy if you just abandon it in adversity?
