  1. He's not a right winger anymore because he's too slow and too shit. He's an obstacle in midfield, much like this guy: Only less mobile.
  2. It's a fair question. If he did come back you'd have to assume he'd taken a blow to the head or was suffering from early onset dementia. Though he'd still probably be our best option.
  3. He had to dog sit.
  4. I reckon he might have trouble trying Evans given he was sat on the bench for Northampton. Always good to criticize with suggestions that are impossible. Should have played Vardy really.
  5. Usually these options are in the hands of the club.
  6. Maswanhise is doing really well, but he's playing in an absolute dogshit league where the only 2 teams in it have forgotten to turn up this season. Very difficult to judge what level he's capable at. Though I've said before we're fxxked for forwards come the summer, so could be a risk to take.
  7. 2 potential issues. One is that he's not played much football off the back of a bad injury, though lack of game time will be down to options ahead of him rather than fitness (hopefully), and the other is what kind of deal we're talking about. Last thing we want to do it offer an over 30 premier league footballer with dubious fitness levels a contract. But if this is just to take him on loan until the summer then it could be a decent move given we have no leaders at the back (anywhere?) and Lascelles is at least vocal at the back. Oh and on the case of fitness, he's currently nursing a muscle injury and is unavailable for Newcastle.
  8. No cos he ain't a striker. Ramsey/Reid replacement. Oh and he can score from his own half, which is old hat now.
  9. No he's at Torino til 2027. And apparently Wolves want him. Strand Larsen replacement.
  10. Just fucking promote record signing Michael Golding to the side instead.
  11. But the reality is we have Fatawu and we're a shit team. The reality is if you sell Fatawu for £30mill+ you wouldn't be able to buy a direct replacement for that even if they were better because £30mill+ players don't join mid table championship sides. If the acceptance is that we will continually get it wrong and continually regress then don't worry about it, eventually we'll end up propping up the football league as we get steadily worse. There are a lot of shit decisions made when it comes to signing players, but there are also decisions like signing Fatawu himself in the first place, getting in Bilal, getting in JJ. We tend to have made better decisions with Championship signings than when we were in the Premier League, so maybe there's a bit more hope there. We could use £30mill to buy the next Fatawu, Mads Hermanssen and Jordan James. All 3 costing us less than that £30mill combined. Of course we could use it to buy another Skipp, Ayew and Coady. But as it stands do you stick with the side now with our mercurial winger in a doggo side or hope to recruit the former rather than the latter examples? Incidentally by the way, I never said I wanted him to go.
  12. Which is fine but the same things were being said when we signed Carranza. You can judge him now and change your mind later.
  13. So your assertion is that we spend £30mill on a replacement? You don't see many players of that kind of fee going to struggling championship sides do you? I mean that's what you do, we didn't sell Maguire for £80mill+ and then go out and sign an £80mill replacement. Same as Fofana and others. The idea that you sell a player and use the money to strengthen the side as a whole is far from ridiculous. As said, JJ is costing £5mill, so what's ridiculous about it? Now if you're saying you have no confidence that they'd spend the money wisely then that's a different argument, but the premise is sound. Ideally you go Rak-Sakyi or someone like that, Monga can play right side so you have those two battling it out. In a fantasy world maybe we get Dju so we get a CF to play with. But that's a pipe dream. That would be down to our position though rather than being short on a fee if we had £30mill to spend.
  14. Would rather have Aluko playing RB and Ricardo consigned to midfield cover.
  15. We're not shopping in the £30mill player market anymore. You (hope to) use the money to strengthen multiple positions rather than like for like.
  16. You can get a Jordan James for £5mill. And a Skipp.
  17. Surely it's just: Kids and grown ups hate him so, the crap bastard Joe Aribo!
  18. A bag of Aribo is going to mean something very different to kids growing up supporting Leicester. And it won't be Tangfastic.
  19. And for about the 100th time, Braybrooke cannot play for us this season. He is ineligible.
  20. Well we ain't getting all that on loan, and we ain't spending any money, so I think we've fxxked it on that front.
  21. I'd rather not be bringing in players that block our young prospects. This lad plays instead of Reid or Ramsey, so it's not the obstacle in front of our young prospects aside from arguably Page who is really going to be covering for JJ while he's out and is better in that role anyway. It also doesn't look like we're bringing anybody in at all, so we need bodies. I thought your initial scepticism was that he wasn't good enough due to his playing time at Premier League level for Man City, which seems a higher bar than necessary given our current state. We also don't really know if this is a loan to anything further do we? If it's with a view to anything permanent then it makes it more desirable.
