  1. What's the upside? There isn't one for the club, so you won't get any information.
  2. My best guess is that the clubs duty of care to children, is of higher importance than anything else.
  3. If Becker didn't go up for that corner. Collymore not getting beat up by Benjamin.
  4. It was 5-2 when I wrote that Crazy game x5 5 on 3 for the wild. Canucks still look great.
  5. Watching the Canucks at wild. Such high quality hockey, fast and committed. Canucks are absolutely on it. Very slick. All lines engaged to a plan. Will be interesting to see what moves are made before trade deadline.
  6. Well if that's the case now you are informing me. It would make sence for there to be elite centres in other countries with links to Europe especially, England even more so due to the finances, and restrictions, before 18.
  7. It's possibe, but I am not aware of it. I am unsure we have Ghanaian staff? Or someone who has a history or connection with them. However the club staff have connections all over the world usually with other similar individuals. Having a contact at an "academy" outside of a professional academy, has always been helpful for me.
  8. I was answering your assumption. It is subjective and depending on how a club view a player, and what other needs other departments have will determine if they use a spot or 4. They actually have some very good players on occasion. They play in competition below professional academies, however they also play many friendlies against Cat 1 academies. They have a much broader scope to recruit foreign footballers, as they are an education provider, rather than a professional football club, so different rules. This can be used by those who want to become a professional (especially in England) as a way to showcase yourself and get noticed.
  9. I'd post more often but, there are so many off the mark comments here, I'd find myself becoming a moderator and in reality it's just not that important as I have a life 😎 You know to PM me if you want to know something.
  10. Everything has to align for a academy player to go on loan. There are many factors that will determine a loan or no loan. Its actually far more complex that just wanting to play away from the academy or not. Examples: Firstly a player has to want to go. The club have to see a benefit for a loan. The potential loan club has to need a player in a certain position. The loan club has to be playing at a certain level. The academy club need a detailed presentation from all potential clubs who want to loan said player. The presentation must align with what the club believe the progression needs to be for the player, and style of play should suit what the loaning club want. There may be conditions or commitments attached to the loan in terms of games % expected loan player to appear in and finances for the loan. In the past it may have been a more simple process where x player is told the manager that they are going to play for x club for x amount of time, but this doesn't happen now, its actually very understandable considering the finances plus time and the amount of stakeholders with an interest in the players development, or not. To suggest the club has a cushy job shows a lack of understanding how complex these deals can become.
  11. The only variable that has changed this season is the quality of the opposition.
