I am not in conflict with your opinions. I do not confess to knowing the managers reason for squad selection. I do however understand the clubs priority is to remain in the top division! -

I am not going to answer that. Very similar to Bertrand actually, but the clubs situation, were very different if comparing those 2 signings. I am sure everyone here accepts that there is a whole department that works on identifying and evaluating targets. Then it makes recommendations. There are whole presentations made up for each "project" as we are spending "usually" millions on fees and wages. 1 man does not do all this work and then manage the first team. The industry and this club have grown massively, you all know this. So the idea lets say of championship / football manager is obsolete unless you go down the divisions and down the resources. Believe me the club loves to hire staff! They all have their roles, and the manager may have an opinion on each project, but he does not dictate player policy or sign off anything that is the Director of Footballs job. -

You don't have to be ITK to understand why BDR was signed. The answer is because at the time of his signing, the club knew there was a possibility that they would be docked points by the PL, this may have a huge possibility of putting them back into the championship. Hence we signed players to a contract where they may be able to play prem minutes, but also are covering the possibility of having a better than average player for the Championship if we needed to make a return. Not that I personally believe BDR is a good signing! You have to be fair to him. He has not had a lot of match fitness building up to this game, and he was asked to do a job against a decent side, ok he was shit, but he cant be written off just on 1 performance. We as a club obviously have not prioritised this competition, otherwise he and others in the starting line up wouldn't have been in that X11. Cooper put him, Ward, Coady, Thomas, Soumare, BELK, and the subs, in a game which is a no lose gamble for him. SC isn't going to be judged on 1 cup match away at Old Trafford, but he will be judged if we are in the bottom 3 of the Prem in January / February. -

My statement is factually correct. This isn't about Cooper, its about modern football, and how big clubs go about their recruiting. As poor as he is, its irrelevant, he wasn't signed because of the manager, as the manager doesn't have that power at the club. -

Are they? 👀 I'd better stop posting then 😅 From what I have read they (unsure of who they are) won't have to look far for criticism.🙈 However it's a case of weather a person with ALL of the facts is fair minded or not... Then the criticisms can be taken a little more seriously than the overwhelming majority of the LCFC related posts on here. Just my opinion 🦊👍🏼 -

Every game you can imagine that the club play in, is recorded. It's what analysts are for. -
Certain players will not be allowed to go out on loan to teams in divisions / leagues where certain styles are played. If said styles do not suit a prospect then why would the club release them to an environment that will not develop their game? There is far more to be lost than gained by the club, if the wrong loan is arranged in certain Instances.

Time wise you are correct. The players come from the city and county, but also further afield around our region where we compete with other category 1 & 2 academies. How we as an academy compete, isn't driven by first team success generally. -

Well being in the countryside there are the common animals, such as rats which make an appearance on the pitches at times. Generally it is a nice place to visit. I was rather defending the old Belvoir Drive site's functionality, more than praising or critiquing Seagrave. Seagrave looks very impressive, and is a great venue, the facilities were also there at BD, they just didn't look like a David Lloyd. All of the players who have come through or are coming through, all started at Belvoir Drive. The facilities do help the developing players yes, but its like going to a branded gym or your local gym, its all down to the person and their commitment the results they achieve. So I'd suggest the new TG is not the major factor as to why there seems to be a more consistent higher top level talented player appearing now, than there was previously, but rather down the the staff who continue work there. When I see posters writing on here about the next big prospect that they become excited about, this will be a teenager generally around 15/16, as you may be aware, the club is always actively recruiting, coaching and investing, over many years (probably 8 to 12) for every prospect. So naturally you are seeing the tip of the iceberg, prospect & work wise. The success comes from much grinding & unglamorous work. When looking at the academy, you must also look at the financial support the club was able to give the academy historically, and compare the results. The cycle is 8 to 12 years as I wrote above. So in 2002 when the club had less than no money, the academy would have been working at a low level, so in 2010 - 2012 the results the academy could produce were probably (definitely) poor in comparison to now, as when we were just taken over by the current owners in 2010, money has not been such an issue in the following period. Players who came through here were usually players who had not made it at more prestigious academies (at the time), rather than players local to the area. King, Schulpp, are not local lads, I think Liam Moore is the best local lad over this period, and he has had a decent career, but considering our ambitions for our top end prospects we have now, we are looking higher than producing local players who mainly play in the Championship. Think of the academy as a machine! Quality of work in + financial support = quality of work out. Then the next variables are (Opportunity) what staff actively support which prospects, to get an opportunity to play meaningful games here or elsewhere... -

Yes, very often. And the new gaff. If you remove the superficial. It's was almost the same. The best thing about the new gaff, is how it appears. -

Wondering when & where his loan / transfer will be.

As an individual, you just don't know what to place your trust in regarding the news and facts that you hear. I appreciate that everyone makes mistakes and the odd source will not be genuine, however currently it feels that there is a disinformation war ongoing and the results are played out on X and the streets. I couldn't tell you if this person accused is 17 from Wales, Lancashire or abroad. I can't tell you that I know where the people who rioted were from yesterday, but they all sounded local from what I have heard on videos knowing of the North Wests accents. I don't know if the reports of another man carrying a knife close to this initial memorial, that there are images of, are real, or not or even related to this issue. I don't know if this is what ignited yesterday's gathering into a riot? I think people should be able to express how they feel, I also feel that that justice should be just and equal irrespective of the individual. Politics and the beaurocrats are making the police take the hits for their agenda.

Seems a conundurum what to do at this point, the club may need more evidence to justify more investment. The club really should offer / arrange more significant playing opportunities in competitive football to get this evidence. The for at team need results, we could involve Braybrooke here, Alves has less pressure to break the first team. They both need to take a step, & opportunity. -
I can't fault your assessment of Maresca. We just finished top with easily the best resourced team in the division. A team that should never have gotten relegated. I hope we can have a change of style of football, because the lack of intensity in our play made watching the games last season tough. I can stomach it when we are winning, but towards the end I'd have happily have replaced him also. For us to receive compensation for his services is great business.
