There is no way king should be offered the job. Firstly it wouldn’t be fair on him in terms of working under a complete shit show and secondly he’s got absolutely no experience of taking a senior team in multiple matches.

All of which would normally point toward the club being up for sale … normally.

To be honest, I may be in the minority here but I don’t think it would be that bad as some are making out. He knows the division inside out, has a good relationship with a couple of our players, can’t see him tolerating the low standards, he isn’t afraid to work with our younger players, he can get a club promoted. Wouldn’t be my first choice but don’t think it’s a disaster. But like you say, it’s frustrating that it comes via agents and not our own work.

Obviously not as manager yet (one day) but I really really hope he stays on with us.

There could well be work going on behind the scenes but I’m surprised there hasn’t been any real media talk of it if it’s supposed to be close. I know we are really secretive but you’d hear something, maybe not from our end but you would from Wednesdays end but I’ve not seen any of their reporters or fans really talk about us being properly in for him.

We’ve known for months that we were going to sack RVN, any other club would have had someone lined up. It’s so frustrating.

Wouldn’t mind Dyche or Rohl. Genuinely two decent options for where we’re at. Positives to both choices.

To honest neither am I but with the situation we are in we aren’t going to get one that everyone is sold on. He’s probably the best candidate out there for us at the moment.
