Look at the names that were on the pitch at full time yesterday. Daka, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen, Soumare & Reid (who admittedly got us the goal) then you add in the Ayew experiment which doesn’t even need any words at this point. I guess I was just being naive expecting the team to feel fresh and youth sprinkled throughout the squad. Like you said, then you could excuse the work in progress line. Nelson isn’t the answer to all our problems but he’s not even in the squad. wtf is that all about? I know Page is just 17 and will get chances again but not sure what I think of him immediately dropping out the squad once he signs a new deal.

Great post. I’m guilty of being overly negative but I do think some people are kinda lying to themselves about what they’re seeing on the pitch.

Hutchinson has to be in the u21s soon surely? Hes clearly too good for u18s football now.

I do get where you’re coming from so hopefully didn’t come across like a twat. I just see it as we have this incredibly talented player who showed last season he’s more than comfortable at this level. Part of it could be I’m just so fed up with the likes of Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen, Ayew etc and simply want a fresh face in the team. I don’t like how he’s now suddenly out of the squad either but won’t go into that haha

Yep I think he should. Played great last season at this level so why shouldn’t he? Faes & Vestergaard seem to have an endless amount of second chances.

A League One loan where he’ll continue to play every week has to be the aim in January. Even if it’s someone near the bottom again.

Why did Nelson have to use that Huddersfield game to prove himself when he literally had a great season at this level last year? Not sure I’m following that logic.
