Could have had money on her scoring, she wasn’t happy in her final months at Leicester and had a point to prove I guess. I’ve not bothered going tonight, first match I’ve missed this season, it’s rubbish at the moment. Villa have fired their manager, let’s hope we follow suit.

We spent a lot of last season without Petermann and O’Brien, Mouchon really wasn’t that impressive before injury, the big miss is Rantala. I agree to a certain extent but this manager is out of her depth.

Good points, the squad does need significant investment, I do think Ward would probably be best equipped though to save us this season, connections and knows the WSL. We are sleepwalking towards relegation under Miquel.

Carla Ward stepped away in the summer from Villa, citing that she wanted to spend some time with family, I’d certainly offer her the job if she was interested even if it was short term until the end of the season. Casey Stoney is currently out of work, knows the WSL well and has management experience. Remi Allen is from Leicester and had 2 spells with us, currently coach at Southampton, again she knows the WSL well and could be considered. There isn’t a huge amount of options, but the team have regressed hugely under Miquel.

I’m hoping it won’t be too long, confidence is draining out of them, there must have been 3 or 4 occasions yesterday where individual players came over to ask what they were supposed to be doing. Whatever Project it is, it needs scrapping.

Can’t see them playing that at the KP, same weekend as QPR, probably be at Burton as most cup games are. Hearing Shannon O’Brien may be back Saturday.

She’ll walk back into the team easily, it’s whether this manager utilises her correctly which I doubt very much.

I watched Missy for a couple of minutes in the 2nd half and she just has no idea what’s being asked of her, Rose must offer nothing in training if Takarada is preferred up top. No idea on Denny Draper injury, not sure how long left for Shannon and Petermann, Tierney is January and Rantala I heard was 4 months so Jan/Feb. Keith Gillespie and Frank Sinclair eh… Never rated Frank, scored more own goals than ones in the right net, was nothing special at Chelsea either. Gillespie with his huge 2 goal return! Some great players and loyal servants to the club. Walsh gets player of the season despite being banned for 6 games for smashing David Geddes Jaw v Shrewsbury!
