Lee Valley Marina is a non-residential marina. He was not supposed to be living there but has revealed he was indeed living on the boat. If you live mainly on a boat, it is subject to council tax. You are responsible for your tax, and not knowing this, or indeed others also not knowing this if they were also living there, is not a defence. The media like to point out political hypocrisy, especially from people who want others to pay more tax, but don't pay their own. To either deliberately or accidentally underpay council tax is either criminal or incompetent. I would say the latter in this case, but on top of the antisemitism, the history of strange statements about hypnotherapy making your boobs bugger doesn't exactly suggest this is a man to invent much faith in. Dan Neidle tweets about questionable tax behaviour (including for example by the then deputy leader of the Labour party and the then Tory Chancellor).

Others will no doubt emerge if a proper process happens. That said, with such a weak cabinet, there seems to be a dearth of quality despite the huge numbers.

If they are not working their arses off to sell players, settle contracts and reduce costs they should be fired. It takes time to hire a new manager, but that doesn't mean nothing needs to happen in the meantime.

I think that is nonsense actually, filtered through the depths of time. It is essentially impossible to produce ongoing success as a musical act on the global stage without huge support in songwriting, production, performance and marketing, whether that was in 1950 or now. Times change but that fact doesn't.

Labour have also massively blown their chance, mostly by looking incompetent, but also because they failed to deliver the reforms needed to pay for the spending they committed to.

Reform making a dogs breakfast of running more councils has to dent their chances at the next General Election right? RIGHT??

Japan absolutely does not have a single village 500-600 miles from a city, let alone a significant town. I could believe it in China or Russia, but Japan is simply not that big, and quite densely filled with cities from top to bottom. That doesn't mean a village a few hours away from a decent town doesn't suffer from isolation and the resulting depopulation. I wonder if it is as much the traditional life as it is location which causes young people to leave and not come back for decades.

We need a manager with the experience to manage upwards in our rather dysfunctional organisation, so he gets the space and support he needs to work. Not nodding along to JR, not going full Maresca, but being able to bring the leadership with him as much as the players. You don't learn that in a few years, you learn it in multiple places in a mix of coaching and managerial roles, with success and failure.

I believe there are remote valleys and islands in the highlands of Scotland who are pretty empty of young adults and dying off slowly, but we don't have that many places in England as you say.

I agree being civil to stupid twats is not helpful, but I don't believe the majority of people being convinced Reform are the answer are stupid twats. They are just busy people not all that interested in politics, who see real situations not being dealt with and are attracted to seemingly simple answers.

Call the politicians / public figures stupid as much as you like, and their arguments. I mean calling the voters stupid is counterproductive. They get told they are stupid for believing massively well-funded and well produced propaganda, by people who spend a lot more time understanding what is going on than they do.

I think we have to be careful about saying people wouldn't vote reform if they are decent people. See Hillary and her deplorables comments. Talking down to people never helps open the conversation. Plenty of people would consider it reasonable to detain people who have been denied the right to stay in the UK until they are deported. Some of that is from nonsense scaremongering bullshit stories of course. Some of it though is from valid concerns about people disappearing, working illegally, being exploited and resorting to crime if they cannot work legally. The whole if you vote green we will put a immigrant centre near you because you obviously love immigrants is nonsense appealing to a small part of their base.

It's an interesting play. Feels dodgy, but picks up on the point that a lot of people support policies which don't have any cost or impact to them personally, while dismissing the concerns of people who actually are impacted in their day to day lives. I would prefer people to avoid voting green because they have stupid policies and their leader is a ****wit, and I am confident those who feel they might vote Green are not going to switch to Reform, so this is really a PR stunt.
