I never got around to playing them but since they all got thrown on GamePass I've been working my way through them all. Currently half way through The Dark Ages and even on nightmare difficulty, this one is a cakewalk compared to the other two. Think the shield parrying was a misstep and not sure the inclusion of the dragon/mech levels were that much of a positive change! The other two games are fantastic though...

Yeah, the rant wasn't directed at anyone on here but general frustration on the misunderstanding! Watching their gigs, there's people of a wide variety of ranges so they definitely appeal to a vast group but maybe those people are just hardcore fans and so you don't hear many people in your daily circles mention them. Personally I often find myself hesitating to divulge that I like them a lot due to the pre-conceived ideas of what they are....maybe that's it!

This is what I'm saying as well. Somewhere somehow they've developed a blind hatred that people think they are throwaway generic indie trash but those "in the biz" of music critique for the most part have been surprised but their releases. Truly doing things that others aren't but sadly I don't think they'll shake this brush they've been tarred with.

I'm late to this as didn't check this thread at all whilst Glasto was on but I'm a big fan of them, completely misunderstood by the older demographic unfortunately. Matty Healy can rub people up the wrong way and to be honest I don't hold that against anyone who doesn't want to listen because of it, but he's a phenomenal writer/lyricist and can play multiple instruments unlike a lot of "artists" nowadays. To answer your point about them in terms of size, I've seen them headline the NME stage at Reading Festival in 2016. They they headlined in 2018 on the main stage and saw them then as well! Since then they headlined Reading Festival in 2023 as well...and obviously now Glasto. So in short they are MASSIVE, so very surprised you've not heard any of their stuff. I think my biggest complaint about the misconception of them as a band is that "all their songs sound the same" which is frankly ludicrous. Of course they have a distinct sound like any band does but they went from playing "Falling for You" solo acoustic, straight into "People" which is a heavy rock tune. I fear people have just followed a crowd without actually listening them. Mini rant over...

Even if you wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt with regards to timeframes...we don't have the luxury of time anymore so these f**kers have got no choice but to get a shift on to sort this! God forbid they've got a bit of work to do.

Just making an observation on what was said by someone that's relatively on it regarding the footballing financial landscape. I imagine they're looking at where women's football was 10 years ago to today and then estimating where it'll be 10 years from now.

Think it'll still have to be reviewed by independent body on whether it's fair market value so not entirely sure that's true.
