Danny Rohl - incoming?

Seen the thread was hot, should have know in foxestalk tradition that doesn't mean anything has actually happened, but loads of puns and general guesswork mixed with usual shite and Andy King fan boys. -
Really really bad take. They were bottom and dead and buried, a league one squad, with no money, players and staff not getting paid etc and yet he comfortably kept them up and then second season had them mid table all despite that off field chaos. He's highly rated, young, ambitious, forward thinking and probably the best we can get at this moment in time. He knows the division and is used to working with limitations, but wants to play progressive football. It's a no brainer to me.

Does anyone know actually how bad this is? The article in the Sun mentions business collapse. Is it typical sensationslist journalism or is it actually like massive shit the bed time?

I think the batting won't be a problem plenty of experience and big game players, our problem will be taking 20 wickets. Very nice finish to the session, they will be kicking themselves at losing them so close to lunch, needless ones too no need to play at those balls they were nothing special at all. Good catch by Smith.

Yes mate I just said I take it all back. They should have got 200 after that start and the pitch looks good, Van beek and Scriven and Trev bowled well. -

I take it all back 🤣🤣 that's a poor score on that pitch, we should definitely be getting 156. If Clarke and Sams and had stayed in a bit longer it could have different, the catch by Scriven to get Clarke out turned the game. From ten an over power play to 156 that's good going for us. Van beek and Scriven brilliant bowling. -

Why put them in? Every time Kimber wins the toss he gets it wrong, they're smashing it everywhere and will no doubt get 200 and we will have huge pressure. We bat all the way down to 9 and 10 why not bat first and get the score on the board??? -
Ricardo and Coady will almost certainly go. We won't start the season with all those wingers either. Ayew if he stays will play through the middle. We look to have Mavididi and Fatawu as starters but who knows if anyone comes in for Abdul we have McAteer and Mknga and we may cash in. Winks is on mega money and is another we will most probably try and rid of too. He was horrific last season.

They'd lost all 3 we had only lost 1 so I suppose it was bound to happen 😂😂 big wake up call though as could have easily lost to Durham the other night. -

Absolutely shocking today. Kimber putting them in, Bowling was largely shite and now the batting even worse. This would be a poor start in a 50 over game let alone a t20 chasing over 200. Rehan makes such a difference with bat and ball and they need to rethink the top order batting in this because Mahsood budinger and Patel hardly get any runs at all. -

Surely given how the pitch is aswell seeing as it looks a flat track. Lost this when he put them in to bat. -

Needs to stop opening in this. We are always a couple down early on. -

Don't know why this keeps happening, it's like he forgets who has bowled how many overs. And can he never win the toss again please, clearly doesn't know what he's doing putting them in on that pitch. -

I just want a season of excitement good football and goals, attacking football and hopefully us in the top 6. If we are mid table ish going for play offs and it's exciting decent football I will be happy, I'm not too fussed about trying to compete in the prem anymore. We've won it, tons of teams will never even get close. -
It's still first world problems isn't it compared to what position we are in now. We lost a lot at home but won loads away?? As you say covid made home advantage count for little. Maybe some people could see what was coming and I applaud them, but I'm sure the vast majority at the time acknowledged they were heady days.

Yes. This was the point. Spurs away 6-2 absolute debacle, international break, Sack him, and we might have stayed up.
-
Well you must have been able to see the future then, or were hugely ungrateful. I'm sorry but a cup win and 5th is pretty much the best season our club has ever had apart from the title win
-
It's still a totally different ball game bottling a top 4 place to being in a so called decline. If there's some out there who predicted after the fa Cup win we would be relegated 3 years later then good on you but I don't think anyone for saw what happened. The season you focus on when we played Roma etc is totally different, there are people on here saying we should have sacked Rodgers after winning a trophy like Spurs have done but it's ridiculous, they finished 17th we were 5th.
-
The FA Cup season we finished 5th. 5th. Fifth. In the Premier league. The decline was the next two seasons. Hindsight is amazing isn't it? There's not one person who wanted Rodgers out at all at that time it would have been mental.

Boro have had to rely on young players and loans, as a rookie coach he's done pretty well by all accounts so far. I'm sure if Carrick had Southamptons budget and squad he would have got them up too.

Absolutely delighted to eat my words. Brilliant win. Lost the toss, probably picked the wrong side ( no need for Scriven or Walker) and Jennings at the start wacking it everywhere. Then brilliant bowling in the middle and despite a poor start (again) from the openers, some fine batting from Cox Ahmed and Trevaskis. Massive to win away here, what a season it's been so far. -

Kimber only has one mode and it's slog. Very poor especially as he was set and like you say we onlg need 6 an over, stupid batting so far.
