  1. Our newer supporters, the younger ones, won't have seen anything like it. They're moaning already when we're not winning every game when we haven't got enough fit players to fill the bench. There's a lot of difference with 8 points clear at the top and 8 points clear at the bottom. It will be comedy gold.
  2. This one hasn't been too bad so far. But we got used to losing for most of the time with our 25 year siesta 🥳 Can't wait until it's time to lose nearly every week. Prefer to keep the money and let someone else go up.
  3. This is where everyone needs to stick together. Fight for what is right. Keep away at the Sky games especially if in the stands where the cameras can see.
  4. There might be a suspicion or two if you get 100m for shirt sponsorship for a year in the Championship.
  5. Gloat? I've watched my club go through it and I wouldn't wish it on my biggest enemy. Every time you think it can't get worse you don't have much time to find out you're wrong. A bit of banter harms nobody but some subjects are above banter. This is one of them. At least you have your great memories and will stay in the record books.
  6. You have already received the money. You took another loan that was for everything you have coming in until June 2028. There's no pot of gold hidden anywhere. The money has gone on keeping you afloat this season. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-handed-financial-boost-10355889
  7. There's no Prem money. You only continue to get it for 2 years if you only stay up the 1 season and you've already mortgaged them to keep going. You still have to pay interest charges though. Sheffield Wednesday could have been sold prior to administration but Chansiri kept saying no.
  8. That's not my idea of financially strong. It isn't even a strong plan. All the Prem money is gone but there's still vultures at the club taking out more than their fair share and there's nothing you can do about it. Football debts must be paid.
  9. You haven't reached 'be careful what you wish for' yet. That's after administration when all the bottom feeders come out. All they have to do is pass what seems to be a pointless fit and healthy check. If Top does it his way he could still take back control. It happened to us. Otherwise you get a saviour or someone out to make a few quid that hasn't got the financial muscle needed. What I don't understand is those still walking into it like it's a normal journey. It's the short term future of your club that’s at stake. Our journey started in 2001. We're only just recovering now. It was fun in a different way but you soon get fed up of getting a map out because the only thing you know about Accrington Stanley is something to do with milk. Then they do the double over you 🙄
  10. I'd accept promotion because it would mean no relegation. But if you did go up it should be to take the money and not spend it yet again trying in vain to stay up. Sort out the finances of the club and then start again in the Championship.
  11. Not always as simple as that. We stopped going to home games but sold out every away game no matter how many tickets we were allocated. It changing nothing for us. But at least it made us feel better.
  12. It was also poor low down League 1 and League 2 football that helped. We did have a fair few that travelled to Northampton and watched from a hill without going in where you could see a fair bit of the pitch. The problem is it didn't get rid of them. It didn't even stop them from taking us out of our city again when we went to Birmingham. The protests kept us in the spotlight and kept getting us into the news. This had more of an effect.
  13. Do you go to watch your football team because you want to or because of who owns your football club?
  14. Got a few more points than expected in the last couple of months. Played most of our promotion rivals away and kept on picking up the points. Would love promotion but not what it brings. Would be happy to spend a minimal amount and keep our best players. Go to the grounds we haven't been to for 25 years and get hammered.
  15. Nobody cares yet there's constant comments about us on here 😂 About half of my family are Leicester. The Prem win was fantastic. Rivalry? Other than 2 games a season I'm more interested in the sides around my own. After our game earlier in the season I'm surprised you're not one of our rivals this season. But are you going to pretend you don't care about our game next month? It's what we thrive on. There's always an extra buzz with local games.
  16. You have the players. We saw that in our game. The two problems you do have is a lack of goalscorers and a clueless manager. In the game against us it was as though you were trying to miss the target and not score. Strangely enough you're about the best side we've played against all season. Bristol City are the best counter attacking side. 23/24 was a strong year just like last year was. This season isn't poor. All you have to do is look at the relegated sides. All 3 thought it would be a walk in the park just like they did last season when only 1 side went up. The only side that went up were so defensively boring and are being shown up for what they are. After years of the same clubs bouncing between the divisions the gap has closed. Several Prem sides are having financial problems because of the constant overspend trying to compete or stay up. At the same time the Championship sides have been improving. We showed what we can do against Prem sides in the cup. We kept our side together even though we received big bids for some of our best players. We were lucky to have got another good manager. I would fancy our chances against a bottom half Prem side with a 1st choice side especially at home. We've done this by only spending what we have coming in. But what we do have is a very close bunch of players that give 100% every game even when we're behind. Good luck for the rest of the season.
  17. Water off a ducks back but my point still stands. And not improved for a few years? Does this include losing in the FA cup semi final to Manchester United on pens after having the winning goal wiped out for the slightest offside you could get?
  18. Comments like this make me laugh. Don't you think about your own club before having an uneducated dig at another club? We beat QPR 7-1. You lost to them 4-1. There's a little difference there. Buy lots of players? If you want a decent chance of staying up you need to reinforce your squad. But I'd prefer to go with what we have now than spend a fortune signing players not good enough on massive wages that nobody is willing to take on after relegation.
  19. From the information so far the staff will be paid on time but later than expected. If they are paid by the end of the month there will be no points deduction. But as soon as the payments start coming after the due date the points deductions start. I don't agree with it myself. It's all about kicking a club when it's down. They don't waste time doing it either. But when clubs abuse the financial rules nothing happens for years and the bigger the club the more chance of the charges disappearing.
  20. The hedge fund ex owners of my club were absolute parasites. There's a very long list of things they did that shouldn't have happened. They even put us into administration to get out of the rental contract for the stadium giving us a points deduction. They took us to Northampton then Birmingham for our home games in an attempt to get the arena for free. We would even sell our best players for a small amount if an offer came in. But whatever you say about SISU they always paid the wages on time. It certainly looks bad on your club. The news is flying around. And it shouts out how precarious the finances are. In the scheme of things it's a small amount of money. Would guess well under a months wage for one of the higher earners. The Prem parachute payments are already gone. Average players on massive wages are secure. It's certainly a sign things are going badly wrong. Let's see if any of the players step in and donate a weeks wage to the cause.
  21. When Coventry beat QPR 7-1 earlier in the season they had an xG of 1.11 🤔
  22. Our only off day so far this season if that's what it was. We've been in command in just about every game. Against yourselves we could hardly get going.
  23. You coped very well with it against us. You're about the only side that has. We were lucky to come away with a point and we're the most aggressive pressing team there is.
  24. Millwall might be in 3rd but they're not brilliant. Won their last 3 unconvincingly since we won at their place at a canter. Play like you did against us and you will be the better side. They can't cope with pace. You have also scored more goals and conceded less than Millwall 🤔
  25. Yet you were better than us for most of the game. And as you said individual quality. Most sides don't have much. You're joint 4th best on GD. It isn't as much the players as it is Lampard. He has improved most of our players. He has put one of our strikers in midfield. Thomas-Asante has been pulling sides apart in his new position and has already scored more goals than last season and then he was playing as a striker. Our midfield has been immense and we haven't missed Rudoni who is out with an injury. Our new signings have only just started getting play time as we kept with last seasons team.
