  1. Should have said 2-3 more losses in a row from here, after the Peterborough match.
  2. Each win resets the timer and buys a few weeks of reprieve. So if he gets a win every once in a while amidst the draws and losses, he stays. 2-3 losses in a row and he’s gone. Worst case scenario is he keeps getting draws and the occasional win between the losses. It will be ‘coming together’ all season and we’ll be grateful for 13th at the end before we ‘go again’ next season.
  3. No word as yet…
  4. Agree. Already posted this elsewhere, but… Decent players trying to play in a way contrary to their footballing instincts become tentative and slower to react. They will instinctively know that the tactics they have been told to employ aren’t working and become conflicted on and off the ball, overthinking everything and being slow off the mark - delayed responses, conservative decision making, errors of judgment. A good manager allows the individual players to play as close to their instincts as possible, and employs tactical formations that make the best use of their strengths and mitigate individual weakness. A bad manager inflexibly sticks to their plan and tries to force the players to adhere to it no matter what. And you lose. Repeatedly. When this happens, either the manager changes or you change the manager.

  6. Tick tick tick tick…
  7. Two most capped players for England have both worn the Leicester shirt. The team that just lost to Stevenage.
  8. Nobody has posted anything on this thread so far in October. The fans must be getting behind him at last.
  9. Found this at the end of the Rangers FC fan forum thread on Russell Martin
  10. For Fuchs sake
  11. Saw there was an early goal to us and presumed the red card was against us when I saw the final score. Scraped a 1-1 draw away to 10 man Barnsley. Just dire.
  12. A promising team with the wrong manager.
  13. Clock resets. We go again.
  14. Doubtful. I think two more losses in a row probably ought to do it, particularly if they are heavy defeats, and particularly if they are for the same reason (stubborn inflexibility/no plan B), but even then I’m not so sure, given contracts, money etc. A draw would mean survival for the time being, and a win resets the clock entirely.
  15. 💯 💯 💯
  16. “Wout, mate… Have you ever considered management…?”
  17. Thing is, the mood was positive after last Tuesday. That positivity could have continued. All we had to do today was not lose 4-0 to Oxford at home. Four. Nil.
  18. This certainly works against us…
  19. Okay, I’m reading some sound criticisms of RM’s preferred style of play on other threads. Taking the team we currently have now, what’s a better way to play them? Easy to say, ‘well, I wouldn’t have chosen these players’, but I’m interested to hear what we could (and should) be doing with the current crop. Selection, formation, strategy, tactics.
  20. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
  21. I think we’re probably at least two (or more) consecutive losses away from a sacking. Even a draw or two will likely save his skin, and a win will reset the clock. Today was humiliating, particularly after the guarded optimism of last Tuesday.
  22. Pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-pass-slip…. crap. Rinse and repeat
  23. Shhhhhh! Don’t bloody tell everyone!
