Jamaal Lascelles joins on deal until end of season - Official
Enyoueffsea replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our captain for 6 years. He was also part of our ‘leadership group’ implemented by Howe when he came in, responsible for overseeing the team, upholding standards and escalating any issues. If he’s fit there aren’t many better signings you could have made. At worst you’ll still get relegated but he’ll probably punch Winks. -
Realistic Managerial Replacements

That is some stretch. Steve Bruce was a great defender at the top of the league but he couldn’t organise a defence to save his life. Gerrard has been abysmal everywhere he has been other than one period at Rangers where people credit Beale for most of the success. Didn’t see much fight for the shirt in his 35% win rate at Villa. More signs point to Gerrard relegating you rather than turning James into a record value for a Championship player. -

Doubt it. He’s only on £40k with us. -

He’s a great leader on and off the pitch. He won’t put up with others shirking responsibility or performances. He was fantastic for us when we needed him but we’ve somewhat outgrown him. His lack of playing time is because he’s currently 5th choice CB. He has had some injuries also. A really good signing for you. I’d have thought he could have done a job for a bottom half PL team so he’s a great catch in the Championship. -
First time watching you since the West Brom game. This is every bit a performance of a team on their way to a relegation battle. No spirit, fight, lack of running, throwing arms around at every missed pass, real lack of quality, no goal threat and a leaky defence. Add in a completely passive crowd, ownership issues and no manager in the dugout and it’s dreadful picture. Even without a points deduction you’ll end up getting into a relegation battle on this showing. Needs one hell of a managerial appointment.
-
As an outsider looking in, this is exactly what I took from it. It’s naive at best to expect to be promoted next season, unless there are significant behind the scenes plans on an entire squad and coaching overhaul. Worrying comments on PSR too. Sounds like a significant points deduction is expected. This managerial appointment will literally be the difference between staying in the league and relegation imo. One thing is certain is that he has absolutely zero intention of selling.

Realistic Managerial Replacements

Usually I’d criticise anyone suggesting a team goes for a “safe pair of hands” as that is usually code for distinctly average. However, you’ve tried two experiments with RvN and Marti now and the players are clearly not playing for either. Someone like Tony Mowbray is an absolute must. Otherwise, with a points deduction, you’ll be in a relegation battle. Lose to Charlton and you possibly will be without a points deduction. -
**** sake I have Over 2.5 on this, can he not bring Thomas on?
-
Just a complete coincidence this has happened (and been announced) following the boycott, I assume. No idea on whether this is positive or not for you, based on the comments I see lots of scepticism, but it goes to show a reaction. I’m sure the naysayers will tell us it’s completely unrelated to move a Director out of the focus and operational decision making who is disliked by supporters and employ 3 new people. Of course these appointments haven’t been made in the last 12 hours, but the boycott was planned for long enough beforehand. Whilst they may be shite appointments (time will tell), it goes to show a reaction.

It’ll need to be a Saturday 3pm kick off, straight after payday when the weather will be optimum at between 17-20 degrees, with only a slight breeze and not close to a bank holiday. Otherwise how can we possibly know how many have taken part?

Reckon you need to bring Thomas on for Choudhury here otherwise you might concede a goal due to dreadful defending.
-
It’s fair to say Sky have bought into the narrative perfectly tonight. Reckon we’re only a few minutes away from them producing a stat that shows how hungry the stewards are tonight.
-
Temperature has dropped to -4 from -3, so every chance another 3,000 have left. Isn’t that right, @stevostadium?
-
The BESTEST and LOYALIST fans who support their team through thick and thin doing a great job of sitting in silence and booing tonight. It’s made all the difference tonight, having them there.

It’s a bit like this

Well done everyone. Mentioned by Sky, been on local media across the day and the ground is visibly empty. Mission achieved here.
-
Sky have just shown @Globalfoxeating a prawn sandwich, nobody can tell him what to do!
-
Don’t forget, no matter what the pictures look like on the TV, only 400 people have boycotted. The rest are just too cold.

Based on their FFP calculations, 83,210. -
Absolute bollocks that fan unrest will reduce the value of a club, but even if it did, wouldn’t that help a sale and therefore achieve the goal of a boycott? Maybe, you know… poor ownership and bad decision making at an executive level reduces the value of the club more?
-
Here’s a wild thought… don’t turn up? Then they’ll see the impact? Saying “the board won’t notice the boycott because we’re all still going” sort of you know, defeats the point. You can’t say a boycott won’t work unless you participate in it. It’s like me saying my car won’t start this morning, without getting in and turning it on. Excuses.
-
Ah, lads, sorry to only just let you know but there is no point boycotting today. @stevostadium has already counted and only 400 people (lower than his early estimation of 500-1,000) have boycotted. Everyone else is at home because it’s cold, it’s their first day back at work, it’s an 8pm kick off, it’s on TV, their mum’s goldfish is orange [delete as appropriate].
