As I said yesterday - even the useless bin men managers like Lampard and Gerrard who you wouldn't want in a million years have considerably better pl records than Cooper. This narrative of "who could you find who's better" is cobblers, as no matter what you do, it's not difficult to find someone who can beat our current incumbent and his 0% win ratio.

He's a young, promising player, not the finished article. You can't really judge him until we've seen him play under a real manager and set of coaches who actually prepare a team and try to improve players, vs the current rabble of incompetents throwing a poorly prepared jumble onto the field with negative instructions and hoping to be "still in the game" with 20 minutes to go to maybe have a crack at scoring a goal.

Yesterday, I was thinking of making the point on here to the "give him time" brigade that Cooper is not the next O'Neill or Pearson, he's more like the next Steve Bruce. I ended up not doing that though, as I took a look at wiki and realised that Bruce actually won quite a few games in his various managerial tenures, and his record actually shits all over Cooper's. THATS how bad Steve Cooper's PL numbers are.

Not just that, his time here is basically hitting exactly the same kind of stats. Loses half his games, conceding about 2 goals every game, added to the endless run without wins that ended his time at Forest. There's nothing to suggest he will get better, or improve in future. He's doing what he previously did at this level - lose loads of games, and win very few - or currently - win none.

I just can't see where a (league) win is coming from while he is our manager. He just sets up to waste 60-70 minutes of a match again and again, and for all the "pragmatism" he is supposedly introducing, not once does it yield a clean sheet, so we are always left chasing games at the end. The one time we actually had a lead this season, he still couldn't defend that properly eaither. Not once have we started with Mavididi and Fatawu at the same time this season. Mav had to sit on the bench for 3 league games while he dicked about with Bobby de cordova Reid, and now Fatawu is benched for a man who delivers 3 goals a season in a good year. Stephy's only started 2 games and already has 2 goals, imagine having that level of attacking threat and completely ignoring it for weeks.

I mean, that would be like delaying Everton's first PSR punishment so long, some other club got relegated instead of them ... oh wait.
