So compared to last season, we've lost KDH, Praet, Casadei, Yunus and Nacho from the attacking and midfield positions. Then gained Buenonotte and BDCR instead. Plus, I guess, a want away Bouba Soumare back into the squad from a numbers perspective, at least up until we get mugged off with a loan with option offer for him from an Italian club later. Any chance we do something about this anytime soon? We'll struggle to fill a bench at this rate. No need to worry though, still 15 days left. ... No need to worry, still 14 days left and they wouldn't have made the Spurs game anyway ... No need to worry, we were always going to lose heavily to Spurs anyway, maybe this will encourage the board to get some players in ... No need to worry, still a week to go ... No need to worry, Fulham is always a tricky place to go, form will pick up soon ... No need to worry, just because Cannon took a blow in the back, I'm sure he'll run that off soon ... No need to worry, just because we have no fit strikers for several weeks, we'll get one in late in the window, once other clubs do some business to get things moving ... No need to worry, still a few hours of the window left ... No need to worry, I bet we had a deal sheet in as the deadline passed ... No need to worry, summer window is always difficult to do transfers in. I'm sure we'll re-inforce in January if needed, gives Rudkin several months to get a headstart on negotiating some deals ...

Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread

If bissouma wanted a laugh he should have just watched the highlights of us Vs Lens. Could have pissed himself laughing with no chemical assistance required at all, then enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the KP in midfield on Monday while we self destruct in front of Spurs. -
Even worse, someone misheard one of Leverkusen's German staff talking about it. Q: Is the deal close? What percentage are we talking complete? A: Nein! 0.2 percent at best.

They do hold their value, but some games are more so than others. Smash bros and majora's mask are probably the most expensive big releases, stuff like lylat wars, wave race etc is the cheaper end. Old football games tend to be the cheapest third party games. If you are after just one cart, and don't mind getting loose carts, then cex is probably the cheapest option - you can at least check the stock in local branches on the website, and the prices are standard, so if a local cex doesn't have what you want, you can at least see how much they charge elsewhere so you don't end up overpaying. eBay tends to be more (and on N64 carts you are likely to end up paying a couple of quid postage too) - use pricecharting.com to get a feeling for how much stuff normally sells for (just make sure to click on the PAL version when searching) @CountesthorpeFox1 had a quick look on CEX website - Gallowtree gate store has loose Goldeneye for £6. Looks like they have Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 in stock as well atm. https://uk.webuy.com/search?productLineId=18&productLineName=Retro+Gaming&stores=Leicester+Gallowtree+Gate&categoryFriendlyName=Nintendo+64+Software

Definitely one of the most fun shops to visit in town. I came across it the first time whilst doing desperate Christmas shopping to find a present for my Mum. An exciting find but a very unnecessary distraction from the aim of the trip at the time though
-
We do have a teammate's sister in the government though, so maybe he should talk to BDCR

You should take a look at Super Game Shack in Silver Arcade next time you are in town shopping, they have a good selection of N64 games there. There's also the various branches of CEX in Leicester, 2 in town and 1 in Beaumont Leys - but they have a smaller selection. Best bet there is to go on the cex website, search the retro gaming section and use the filters to select the stores and see what they have in stock, as quite often with cex they have plenty of retro stuff that is hidden away in the back shelves and not on display where you can spot it. If you end up browsing eBay as well, might be worth having a gander at price charting.com, they collate info based on completed eBay sales, so you can get an idea of what the average price stuff sells at is, so you have a reasonable idea how far to go when you are bidding on stuff. Good luck on your game hunting!

Yet we still haven't put a bid in for Sammy Smoddish -
I had to visit London with work last week, and getting about on the trains and tube is an absolute doddle. Compare and contrast with a few weeks prior, returning to Leicester train station and thought about getting a bus home to the West End/Braunstone town area. Would have needed 2 buses, it was actually quicker to just bloody walk a couple of miles home. Our bus routes are useless, fine if you want to go into the city centre once in a blue moon to look at where M and S used to be. If you want to get to any of : Train station, football club, rugby club, royal infirmary, university of Leicester, de montfort hall or anything involving travel from the east to the west sides of the city they are no help whatsoever.

EEwaan is a Greek Man He wears a Greek man's hat He could have signed for Roma but didn't fancy that He scored goals with his left foot He scored goals with his right But he won't score goals at Leicester 'Cos our midfields full of shite.

Should have put it on only fans, made some money from selling it to masochists.

Think there's a fair chance we not only break Derbys record, but even become the first team to finish a prem season on negative points.
-
Last pre season showed plenty of signs of the players being well prepared, tactically organised and well coached. This pre season there is none of that. The shape is awful, tactics clearly not working and players don't look fit or comfortable with what they've been sent out there to do. Not seeing any signs of cooper and his team being capable of properly coaching and preparing a team at all so far.

It wouldn't even be worth leaving Michael Barrymore's pool to watch this. It's that bad

Recommendations for kingCarr: If you liked Hunter x Hunter, might be worth checking out Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, it's an old Shounen action series and was written by the same guy who did Hunter X Hunter. Also on Netflix. Also, stick with Evangelion - it hasn't even begun to show its cards at episode 6, there is a lot more to come in that. All time classic and one of my favourites. Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a superb sci fi cyberpunk action show. Only 10 episodes long, and also on Netflix. Chainsaw Man could be a shout as well, based on your list of show you've enjoyed.

Read the thread title, and my brain decided it had to be done to the tune of Fade Away and Radiate by Blondie. Club wants ten quid for a stream I'll pay it in their dreams.... 3 DMs in our team No goals to be seen Lens Away, Saturday Lens Away, Saturday

What are your expectations for next season?
orangecity23 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
The expectation has to be a pathetic relegation, because it neatly ties up the 3 year story of the last relegation - a club so badly run, that when faced with the prospect of an FFP points deduction, was so scared of that and the possible ramifications (coud have lead to a relegation battle the following season) that to avoid that outcome, they instead embarked on a course of action that resulted in 1) Failing to replace Schmeichel 2) Refusing to sack Rodgers because it was too expensive 3) Sacking Rodgers anyway, but leaving it far too late 4) Failing to replace Rodgers and leaving things under a hapless set of caretaker managers to fritter away a couple more games 5) Getting Relegated anyway 6) Still failing PSR anyway and getting a future points deduction So the natural conclusion would be to get the points deduction, and get relegated. Because nothing says mismanagement like desperately trying to avoid a points deduction and a possible relegation, and being so incompetent that you end up with the points deduction and 2 relegations instead. -
RIP Craig, absolutely a legend and a key man in the team that built this club up to the very pinacle of its best ever season. Will be sorely missed.

Based on the standard arguments we hear in his defence:

You've said this before, so I'll post this again for you to ignore again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_epidemics_and_pandemics Covid was the 5th deadliest pandemic in human history, one place below Bubonic Plague. Most of the entries on the list were forms of influenza, including the number one spot, Spanish flu.

It's played at every home game at half time, and as soon as I read this my brain starts autocompleting it. THE LEGENDARY PAD THAI, THE BEST STREET FOOD IN TOWN. Still have a soft spot in my heart for the ad with Vards Skyping his needy Thai friend on the beach using the video screens in the KP. Never fails to make me laugh. "Oh, hello there"
