  1. I think we’re heading off on a tangent away from AS to migrants in general.
  2. My ‘excuses’ I DO really love the way the left out themselves in ways they don’t realise. You generalise on me apparently not liking asylum seekers, and then you generalise on my referendum vote and election vote. Aren’t the left against generalisation? After all, a Brexit voter or a Reform voter is massively into generalisation or stereotyping. Or is it ok to do the above, but only coming in from the left of politics?
  3. They’re not excuses They’re facts.
  4. Our population density is quite a bit higher than Germany, and far far higher than France and Turkey
  5. Yes. We don’t have to take any as far as I’m aware.
  6. Of course it is, and of course I’m not. You might have a bigger heart than me, but our infrastructure and our countries size doesn’t get any bigger
  7. I’ve been riding the crest of a handicap wave the last few weeks A combination of some horrendous cards coming off as well as playing some very steady golf by my standards. I’m now consistently shooting low 90’s off the yellows and whites. Each round I’ve still had my standard two or three blow up holes (shooting at 7 or 8) During the last couple of weeks I’ve played so much golf, but pretty much at all times I’ve had 6 of my best 8 cards being the most recent rounds I’ve played. On 6th April I was 18.4. I’m now at 16.2 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Spring Stableford comp tomorrow so hoping to just keep the ball in play and do nothing heroic
  8. There might be less complaints if it’s held up during the game and obscuring their vision then 😂
  9. Yeah I understand that. My point is that my ‘harsh’ ideas might start to do that.
  10. None of the above makes our country any larger you know?
  11. Of course they might. They’re not. They’re the safe haven countries they travel through on their way to the UK. You know that 😝
  12. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the Bibby Stockholm idea, though maybe it should’ve been anchored offshore.
  13. Well enough to travel over on a dangerous boat though. Claiming asylum from persecution from France? Italy? Poland? Holland? Germany? Hungary?
  14. I think voters of any party are automatically assuming international law shan’t be broken, by way as leaving people to drown as per your example. Locking illegal immigrants up rather than housing them in any form of hotel or place of comfort should absolutely be standard whilst processing takes place. Any form of benefit should cease immediately until said people have put back into the economy for a set period. Yes, I’m talking access to healthcare, access to food banks etc. I’m not a fan of the right of access to state education either. Once asylum has been granted, they by and largely deserve nothing more than the very basic level of support, particularly if showing a complete unwillingness to put back into society, or an unwillingness to learn the ways of their new countries life. It’s all fairly harsh stuff I know, but it’s what’s clearly required at this stage I think.
  15. I’m not in any form of power mate, I’m merely just a punter. I’d be happy for them to be deterred by any means possible. The who, where and why isn’t for me to come up with, any more than it is down to you to want RvN out but don’t have to personally select the next manager.
  16. I don’t think you can prevent the cause (as Starmer is currently proving) but a harsher solution may deter them from crossing.
  17. Quite wishy washy counter arguments then really, mainly based on semantics.
  18. Can we hear them?
  19. I’d take Louis Walsh and Billy Elliott
  20. Those were the days Bert L1 rocking, 8 friends in a row together
  21. Golf. Have been since the one man Rodgers protest walkout Haven’t looked back, can’t see me ever relinquishing my golf membership in favour of a ST again. Even if I’m fcuking shite at it
  22. Once got sent to a job in London lodging out. Got told to meet the others at the hotel early next morning Arriving at the hotel (Premier Inn Barking FYI) I took a turn left too early and ended up in an empty Tesco car park. I drove under the barriers into the car park, and could see the hotel through the trees. Did a sweeping big U turn and went under a different set of barriers to exit. The barriers must’ve been at a slightly different height to the ones I’d drove under initially and my roof rack gets snagged on them, almost pulling the barriers out their stanchions 🤣 I’ve jumped out in a blind panic, stood on the rear bumper to see the damage. Rear bumper falls off under my weight 😂 Ran back to the drivers door to call the others, and the van door handle came off in my hand 🤣🤣 You genuinely couldn’t write it. Two of the lads turned up and the barrier arms were linked with about 6” of chain. One of the barriers had gone under my roof rack, and the other had gone over it We had to cut the leg off the pipe rack, one lad hanging off the barrier that was under my rack and another stood on the roof pulling the other barrier up, whilst I drove forward. Obviously Tesco staff started arriving at this point- it was probably about 7am I work for a small firm and word had got round all the lads by approximately 0730. Told my boss my door handle had come off, but didn’t say why. Told me to take it into the garage on the Friday. Asked the mechanic to whip the roof rack off and straighten out the huge dog leg in it Thought I’d got away with it, until another blokes van broke down the same day mine was in for repair He wasnt ITK as to what had happened that week, so essentially grassed my roof rack up to my bosses. Nothing ever got said to me though That was 2012, and I still work for them now This probably won’t sound funny to anyone else, but I’m giggling over it as I type
