  1. Gotta love the Lightning, been toying with posting an image the whole thread.
  2. Were distinctly average. First gig that I've ever left early.
  3. My bad! Again with the AV-8s! Iconic!
  4. Since we're now doing pictures of bands we're going to see rather than naming them, I'm going to see... tonight.
  5. How about some whirlybirds? Or best of both worlds! And the jury's still out on this one.
  6. Whilst on the subject of long range bombers, I give you... the Bone (as it were) B1 Lancer... lovely! Or... and I think this is first red threat plane coming up (and I love MiGs too!) Tupelov Tu-22M - Nato designation: Backfire
  7. Built by Howard Hughes, as seen in the film the aviator! As far as the Amerikabomber is concerned, this was probably the most successful attempt, the Junkers Ju 390. Allegedly got to 12 miles away from New York having taken off in occupied France. PS, if you think I'm sad, you should be grateful my bro-in-law Ben isn't a contributor to this forum.
  8. Why an Av-8? What's wrong with the original? Much better!
  9. Also available at Good Old Games (gog.com) for a mere $9.99 download, well worth it! http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/il_2_sturmovik_1946 I used to play Spitfire 40 on my old Speccy with outstanding graphics such as this...
  10. I have a penchant for twin-boom fighters And this was probably the best plane of WW2... I know, hugely unpatriotic!
  11. Well what a glorious sunny morning it is. GOOD MORNING WORLD!
  12. Waltz no. 1 in Eb by Chopin
  13. Wild Beasts at Leics Uni week on Saturday!
  14. E=MC2 - Big Audio Dynamite
  15. Every Time A Bell Rings An Angel Gets Its Wings - Logh
  16. Stay - Asobi Seksu
  17. I Want to Hear What You Have Got to Say - The Subways... Haven't listened to Young For Eternity for ages (ever since I left the CD in a car stereo that I took out of one of my old cars without 1st checking there was nothing in there - when I sold it to my bro-in-law for a tenner I got my CD back! )
  18. Did you throw food at them? Looks like they could use it!
  19. Don't venture into the High Country without your snow shovel!
  20. When will it ever end!!!?
  21. Two Dancers album by Wild Beasts
  22. Anyone who liked the Lord of the Rings films might enjoy this. Born of Hope - LotR fan film It's not half bad - extremely good considering their resources, the directors life savings of £25,000. Can't complain for free really.
  23. No work today! Yippee! No work Monday! Hosanna! I love long weekends.
  24. I recommended to a friend that she watch Perfume over the weekend. She didn't like it. There's no accounting for taste.
  25. Was my first time there, very like the Charlotte in miniature in term of layout, but a little more customer friendly (easier to get to the bar, easier to see the band). Midlake were phenomenal. Never been to a gig with so much flute and onstage beardage though. Support act, Sarah Jaffe, was really good too. I'd recommend checking her out. She could knock Ellie Goulding into a cocked hat! EDIT: Plus REAL glass glasses to drink from!
