  1. Workmanlike pro, which is more than most we've had in recent years...
  2. If we can still recoup at least half of it for Soumare then it will look like good business to be fair. Happy enough for Hamza & Braybrooke to fight for 2nd backup spot with Winks, Ndidi & Skipp playing the majority.
  3. So he's backup for Winks & Ndidi. Even so you'd think he would contribute something going forward for that money. Seems a lot for a squad player, but whatever. As long as we still get the attacking midfielder & striker we have a much more pressing need for and somehow don't fall foul of FFP paying these prices then I'm not mad at it...
  4. 21 matches, 0 goals, 0 assists = 25M. OK...
  5. Could and should have been much worse, but I'll take a miracle and a classic Spursy 2nd half performance. Jamie Vardy has got us out of jail so many times 🐐 🙏
  6. Get out of jail free Vards! 🙏
  7. Imagine leaving the gaps we have without actually attacking. Wild.
  8. Those stats if we were at Spurs would still be unforgivable.
  9. No outlet on the left wing - Mavididi on the bench. Son constantly left on his own with acres on the left wing - Pereira on the bench. Omnishambles.
  10. Way too easy for them. Beyond embarrassing. They should be 4-0 up already. Sat with a Villa mate matching it who would usually be rubbing salt in the wound, but we're so bad that he's trying and failing to look on the bright side on our behalf. Apart from saying he's never seen a promoted side look this out of their depth.
  11. Is there news on why Pereira & Mavididi aren't the first 2 names on the team sheet? The only 2 Leicester players I have in my dream team as well 😏
  12. Can't believe we're about to kick off a season with our only striking option barely getting a warm up in pre-season. Hope his professional pride has kept his fitness where it needs to be and he takes this golden opportunity. 🙏
  13. Unforgivable to start an EPL season weaker than we finished a Championship season. Simple as that. The league itself has a lot to answer for keeping us in limbo re the points deduction though. Nothing but spite was keeping them from resolving this in the off season.
  14. Haha! He's the mature old head now. Was at home with his son on the night they celebrated apparently.
  15. I guess the team has been picked based on lowest blood alcohol level? As long as Coady is starting I'm happy.
  16. Awesome. Fatawu worldie. Vardy as great as ever. Hopefully Enzo can now see that possesion is irrelevant and more direct counter-attacking is in our DNA.
  17. These have been outrageously bad. No less fun though. Have we even been a bigger bogie team to anyone else? They must hate being in the same league as us.
  18. That's phenomenal. MoM Fatawu.
  19. Eurgh! Coady dropped and Faes back in the centre. Exactly what I feared. We better get away with this egregiously obvious error... 😩
  20. Yea, there was plenty still to pick at, but before Saturday everything suggested he had gone full on head in the sand and was going to plough on regardless of the obvious failings, a la Rodgers. Now at least we know he is capable of objective analysis and making subtle alterations where necessary. Hopefully that continues.
  21. Has to start for the remainder of the season. Obviously. After the state of the last week I was certain Enzo was going to do a pig-headed, ostrich necked, pale imitation of a Brendan Rodgers tribute act by persisting with a Faes - Vestergaard partnership to the death, but, I was instead, pleasantly surprised.
  22. Yea, Millwall and Plymouth were an unforgivable disgrace from the top down if we don't go up, and something we were intensely lucky to get away with if we do go up, such are the fine margins at this level. I do feel there was slightly more of a willingness to put the playbook aside and do whatever was necessary to get us over the line than I've seen before under Enzo (or us the last few seasons) though. Way more hopeful than I was midweek that the pragmatism and necessary changes required to see it through are now possible.
  23. Yesterday felt different. Finally got our first glimpse of the Leicester spirit of old. Still incredibly lucky as our defence is what it is, but feeling a lot more hopeful that this psychologically will tip us over the line. 🙏
  24. Yesterday was the first time I sensed something approaching pragmatism and a willingness to let his philosophy take an ever so slight back seat over what needs to be done. More than a skinful of luck and a Hamza barnstormer still required, but nevertheless I hope this is the start of genuine progress 🙏
