I don’t get this criticism of Vardy. We all know he’s not the player he was. But the role he’s being asked to play is spearing the attack as a finisher, not to drop in and link play or harry and annoy like he used to. Plenty of strikers have played that role over the years at younger ages and to less effect than Vardy - but if we aren’t able to service him (which is our issue) then what else is he supposed to do?

He receives the ball very well under pressure and plays a neat and tidy pass if it’s 20 yards or less, but I don’t really see what he offers beyond that.

I’m not sure that’s been confirmed yet, has it? Journos just saying that no charges have been brought - yet. Ziegler’s article seems to suggest that no charges can be brought for 23-24 until 22-23 has been concluded, which it hasn’t. Has there been any other unequivocal announcement that we have not breached, rather than simply not been charged (yet)?

Why wait? Get rid this January. I absolutely hate him, to the point where it is totally irrational. We should be getting more than 10m EUR for him though - every little helps for PSR.
