Has he been vilified by the vans? I'm not so sure. Sure, he's become a talking point on here but he's hardly got the Wout treatment during games has he. I have no objections to him not wanting to stay at the training ground, but I'm not sure why he is continuing his sulk under a new management team. Surely best for him if he knuckles down to try and rebuild his relationship.

Incredible stuff this. Only place I’ve seen someone enter a football debate with “my family’s got money and PHDs”. Why don’t you use some of those smarts and wealth, buy the club, and put your boy at centre-back - then we’ll all clap politely while he watches strikers run past him. Fair play though, I’d be annoyed if my surname sounded like something you’d flush.

What does he think he's gonna do if he's still here when the window shuts? Not play? Of course not. He'll be apologising to the manager and his teammates with his tail between his legs so he can play some football this year. He's being advised badly and acting like a child. He'll get his move if someone pays the asking price, which is how transfers have always worked. I genuinely don't know what goes through these people's heads - they can't think beyond the end of their nose. Funny that there doesn't seem to be anyone seriously in for him.

I think he’s got the hardest job of any Leicester manager in my lifetime, joint with Sir Nige when we dipped to League 1. He’s got to oversee a complete culture reset, is having experienced (but not necessarily good) sold from under him, has no signings coming in, is facing a points deduction, and is forced to play with very young and inexperienced (but with potential) academy players - some of whom never seemed like they would make the grade. He’s also got to contend with growing discontent in the fanbase and attempt to unite the players with the fans. He gets a lot of leeway from me.

Any mention of the fee?

Gotta play him while he’s here. What’s he gonna do - be worse than the rest of them? He’s our only threat through the entire middle.
