  1. Oh no! A certain streaming site appears to have been brought down 😔
  2. You’re talking rubbish. Any keeper is going to follow that cross to that side of the goal - he’s in the correct position as the headers made.
  3. I don’t see what miracle saves already relegated Sheffield Wednesday… but agree on the other two.
  4. Really need to take advantage of how poor Preston are playing.
  5. Even Patson couldn’t miss that 😂
  6. I wonder who scored our one?
  7. One thing in this topic I do find peculiar… I look back at my original opening post in 2020 and ponder… how has that still only got 10 likes given what’s transpired since😂 !
  8. I think more likely, he’s a potential sale. I also think the criticism he gets is a bit harsh - it needs to be remembered he is an academy graduate playing as first choice for the first time where we haven’t had a settled back four and been generally poor all across the pitch. You know - play the youth - well he is one of them and we should perhaps be a little more forgiving and supportive as a fan base?
  9. I’m not sure that’s any comfort, given the basket cases these clubs are. But football finance in general is in a mess, lots of clubs with wages in excess of 100% of turnover… and this includes plenty of clubs doing relatively nothing in their respective divisions. The main thing I’d welcome from the accounts is our wages to revenue figure of around 80% - that’s the requirement for clubs not in European competition under the new rules in the Premier League next season; and whilst we’re obviously not going to be there ourselves, it’s the right sort of level to aim for regardless. The other thing that should give us some cause for optimism - the investment in our academy and Seagrave is pointing towards paying significant dividends in the near future, both in reduced player outlay and transfer fees receivable.
  10. It needs to be said - this isn’t a wild idea. We have weeks to prepare for our next game, which is at home, so get him training with the first team as much is allowed, build him up and give him a go from the start.
  11. When have you ever seen this approach being successful or indeed, seen a manager keep their job after doing such a thing (thinking Conte at Spurs). This sort of situation does not require a manager losing their head. Calling players out publicly would provide zero benefit because ultimately as manager, you’re going to need to call upon 16 of them every game - and you see all of them every day in training. Even if it was one or two players that you don’t think you will use - you can’t guarantee the reaction of other players in the group and you don’t want a situation where players are playing with the fear of making a mistake. This is not to say that behind closed doors there will not be truths told to certain players about standards and performance levels - anyone who’s played at any decent level will know this goes on. But that sort of stuff needs to stay within - an embarrassing public slagging match via the local press and clubs media makes very little sense.
  12. Thomas is not as big an issue as a lot of people make out on here. He’s been putting in decent performances, has a quality left foot (Aribo should have done better with his chance from Thomas’ delivery) and his long throws might be useful if our players could organise themselves in the box so they can make first contact. He also did very well defensively today.
  13. You want us to start with Daka and Ayew!
  14. Ok, Nelson up front next time!
  15. Given the day Daka’s had so far - it’s notable Gary hasn’t hooked him for Ayew yet. He’s also heaped a lot of pressure on Nelson here.
  16. 😂😂😂
  17. I bet there’s a wider appreciation of James Justin now, but I wouldn’t begrudge him his move away.
  18. What nonsense, he wants to add the League One title to his list of honours - nowhere else is going to give him that opportunity.
  19. I’ve not seen much giveth!
  20. Damn my accurate assumption!
  21. Have to say he’s won that, rather than be properly fouled… I assume we miss this?
  22. Could we just get on with it please!
  23. You can tell it’s been a cold, dark winter given the cameraman hasn’t yet adjusted his brightness settings!
  24. Because the person suggesting this is not sensible? Look at the rest of the suggested ‘formation’ - a wing back that is actually a winger and likes to cut inside, a complete lack of serious transitional cover in midfield and so many central attacking players they’ll get in each others way and be easy to pick up. It would also be clear to anyone with a bit of sense that the type of centre-backs we have don’t fit into a back 3 very well - too many lacking serious mobility, which is needed for at least one of the two wider ones.
  25. That was pretty disgusting.
