This is exhausting to watch nevermind to play in.
-
Route one confirmed.
-
Give that man on the TV a contract!
-
Our side is rather short.
-
Get strapped in for the lowest of low blocks and the cultured ball over the top
-
One thought - Son plays from the left, so has Cooper picked Justin to just sit and do a job there? Asking Ricardo to do that is a waste.
-
Gone defensive + keeping him an option to play up front if Vardy breaks down.

You don’t have to be ITK to make some very basic assumptions about this signing; • This was a Cooper recommended signing. • We accelerated the signing after missing out on other signings to get one over the line and show ‘backing’ to the manager. • That no-one else had seriously come in for him, leaving our path clear - especially after agreeing the now widely reportedly fee. • That had he still been on Tottenham’s books come deadline day, the fee would have been a lot less (probably more than half what we paid). Another couple of observations are; • The fee paid tends to have some correlation to what wages you pay - so he’s probably on an eye watering weekly amount to! • This is a transfer that will raise eyebrows within the squad, primarily due to the fee - and that fee puts undue pressure on Skipp himself. • Pre-PSR days you could guarantee he would have been given a 3 year contract. Of course amortisation means a 5 year contract is the norm now - but this just provides another indication of how broken the PSR regulations are and how they’re a detriment to prudent football finance. So no offence to Oliver - I’m sure he’s a nice guy, a solid professional and could even turn out to be a good player for us - but I’m pretty certain no-one inside the club considers this a prudent deal. A necessary one, maybe, but not a value one. All the best Skippy!

We’ve been here with Nancho - sort of signing that will show flashes of brilliance, that only serves to frustrate the hell out of you because the rest of the time he’ll serve up dross.
-
I think it more likely that the owners have realised there’s no value in chasing anything in the league any more and are removing the cream off the top into their own pockets before selling the club.
-
You’re fooling yourself - you’re one of us now, alongside Everton!
-
The thing that surprised me was he looks tall… but is only 5ft 9. I’m one of those that sees value in having players you can utilise at set pieces (both ends) - he’s not exactly one of them. What’s surprised me even more - Winks is an inch taller at 5ft 10!
-
He’ll be on hand to be wheeled out immediately when the inevitable sack the board chance starts to ring out in the stands.

We did - charge was registered on 6th September 2023.
-
Yes. You can see all the charges Macquarie have registered as part of their loan facilities for these transactions on Leicester City Football Club Limited’s Companies House page; https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/04593477/filing-history However - there hasn’t been a charge registered since October 2023 - in relation to the Barnes and Castagne transfers (the documents show what the charges relate to).

Who do you want for next season in the PL

No, my point was down to the pull factor a manager has. As part of the signing process, a manager is going to have some sort of chat with the player themselves - explain what they like about them, how they fit into the team, that sort of thing. Most players outside of the UK won’t have a clue who Cooper is. -
No real idea who this guy is, but his bio says he hosts ‘the double pivot’ podcast. A mix of comments beneath it too. I get a feeling this is a signing is one that will forever divide the fanbase - so pretty much a typical Leicester signing!
-
Given we would have been in contact with Galatasaray for Zaha at the same sort of time, it’s possible we had some cross dialogue with them on the Sara deal. It’s also quite apparent that Cooper will have been more confident in Skipp as a player that does what he wants, probably making him the higher priority deeper midfielder choice.

There is no doubt this would have been a very different window had Enzo still been in charge. We’d have successfully signed Soule for a start! -
I don’t think there was much we could do to convince Hzolek to sign for us. Once you’ve agreed a fee with the club and put your contract offer to a player, that’s pretty much it, you can’t go about making huge changes if you want to look like a serious outfit. I doubt Hoffenhiem were proposing to pay more than us in wages, but what they could do is offer guaranteed terms for longer and European football. Even if we did turn round and say “how about £10,000 / £20,000 a week more?” that contract would only be guaranteed if we stayed up… and the player + agent could quite rightly question why we didn’t offer those amounts before?

A very possible reason why we haven’t could be due to lukewarm reactions we’ve been getting from players agents? Maybe we’ve decided that we can’t just go in and make the running on signings where there’s wider interest now - that we have to wait it out a bit and pick up players when those players options have fizzled out somewhat. -
Who’s the other great team?
-
It’s much more likely that this signing was effectively agreed ages ago, but that Spurs wouldn’t allow it to go through before we played them.

The photos don’t get any better.
