I get the sense the club have made a move for RVN. If you’re already thinking of ditching your manager and you come up against a basket case of a team twice in quick succession - who under there new temporary manager smashes you twice - you’re going to be impressed by the man in the other dugout. Queue some tentative enquiries over the weeks to follow and then a realisation that you need to act immediately if this is the guy you want to get in - the strange timeline starts making more sense.

I’d argue this was expert planning - early kick off on a Saturday gives plenty of time to get over to Copenhagen and have a class night out.

It was a very bad plan… especially when you have Faes bombing forward into midfield whilst we’re trying to defend too!

Given our fans had given up on Cooper - can you blame the players who’ve had to put up with him daily, not just on match days voicing their displeasure when asked? The club should have been able to come to this decision without the players input anyway - it was clear things weren’t working out and it wasn’t going to change.

I’ve been impressed by the bits I’ve caught of Tom Cleverley too. However, I think he’s the sort of appointment you’d go for in the summer, not mid-season and fighting relegation.

Vardy wasn’t happy yesterday when he came off was he! I wonder if he went straight to Rudkin’s office 😂 I expect yesterday was a final straw. Things were so bad, it was conceivable and wouldn’t have been unfair to sack Cooper during pre-season; had the Spurs game gone as it could of done, he might have gone then.

Is Pep under more pressure than Cooper now - if we ignore the 3 year contract he just signed!

One point to consider - we were as bad against Chelsea in the FA Cup last year under Enzo, in a game that seems to have effectively ended Raheem Sterling’s career.

One player on our side that deserves a bit of praise - has consistently tried to do something with the ball when he’s had it and looked generally neat and tidy.

You’d like to think there’s a chance he gets sacked at halftime it’s that bad!
