  1. Too wet to do that - otherwise I’d have been on it.
  2. Towsend suggesting going 1 down will liven us up… I doubt it. If we’re playing this deep, you need a Steve Howard type player to hold it up - combined with some pace and stamina out wide to join up with him.
  3. Lull Chelsea’s multi millionaires into a false sense of security… it’s not working.
  4. There goes £35 million in January 😏
  5. I get that Cooper wants to defend in a 442 shape, but having Ndidi as the forward most presser just seems wrong. It’d make more sense to have the far-side winger to step forward into that position and have the left/right central midfielders shift as required.
  6. Well… this season could lead you to it!
  7. I suggest a hot toddy or too to ease both ailments 😉
  8. This is why the argument about pundits having to be ex-male pro’s is rubbish - they have no journalistic (or presenting) background and many just dial it in for their appearances with little to no research.
  9. I would - I think 30-32 points might be enough to stay up this season.
  10. That was 20 years ago man!
  11. You’re clearly not alone and I think football’s bubble could be bursting a little. I can see a growing feeling across fans that there’s; • Too much football • The competition is to imbalanced, especially towards the top end • It’s too expensive • It’s too time demanding • The regurgitated drama season after season - is exhausting; especially if your club does nothing every season (👋 Hi Stoke fans!) Whether it will burst enough to bring the game back to the common fan - I doubt it - but you know, there’s always non-league.
  12. Yeah, but we’re in a building phase where the key things for our side to be is solid first and foremost. That to me, makes Moyes not a bad fit for what we need to do over the rest of this season and probably next season too. There’s no way we as fans can expect the side to play champagne, front foot football and stay up; it has to be a bit dirty, combative, high energy not so high quality stuff - ands that’s the sort of stuff Moyes seems good at.
  13. We need to be getting Moyes in over the coming international break. I think we have enough quality in the squad that he’d get some sort of tune out of them until the window - at least get us looking more clued up defensively and picking up points here and there - and doing it now gives a bit of time to discuss January targets. I’d be amazed if we’re not close to pulling the trigger on Cooper - it’s clear the general vibe around the club is just not right.
  14. Surely he has to go after this… I don’t care if this is just some bizarre BBC mistake!
  15. To think people in the summer suggested we didn’t need to sign a centre back. It’s increasingly looking like bringing in Okoli was a shrewd bit of business.
  16. I bet Marc is at home watching that Vardy cross thinking “I taught him that!”
  17. Having seen that stat flash up, I’m convinced we’re scoring from a corner tonight 😂
  18. Anyone else feeling they might have been a little harsh on Cooper to this point? Yes, our best 11 on raw ability might have been obvious - but application, attitude and confidence are other factors in making team selections. Perhaps what we haven’t considered was whether Cooper was playing the long game. Perhaps Mav and Abdul needed a bit of grounding following promotion? When Mav came in, he played like someone with something to prove. Similar can be said of Fawatu against Southampton. And it can’t be missed that had we opened the season with those two in the side and had got battered - their confidence would have taken a huge knock? I guess we’ll will see more tonight.
  19. This season is doing wonders for my housework too! 😂
  20. To be fair on this - Mav forced his way into the starting 11 and given how Cooper is attempting to play (with 2 10’s) that meant dropping Fawatu. He made a big call today, dropping Ayew for El Kid - and Facundo has to start given his form and quality. That said - I am hoping he drops the 2 10’s idea because it’s causing us problems defensively down our right hand side.
  21. I’ve counted them - all present and correct 😂
  22. Probably sound advice - funny thing is I sacked the second half off to do some window cleaning! 😂
