Can't take much from a short highlights reel in a game for fitness, but based on this, I'm not sure if they had the 3241 shape when building from the back in those clips:

You've just got Hamza here on his own, last season in this phase, you'd expect to see his midfield partner within 10 yards.

The position of the fullback on the other side suggests more of the shape that Spain recently used to build up, where the full backs hugged the touchline in the build up to make it hard for the counterpress as there's a lot of distance to cover. If this is the case, there should be another fullback out of sight hugging the nearest touchline.

One to keep our eyes on...

EDIT: From kick-off, we did have the classic 3241 shape:

That Mavididi goal is absolute class.

Fair play, big shoes to fill for our next arge is he's compared to these two.

Esteban one of the classiest players I've ever seen play for us.

Leo, probably the biggest bollox of any player for taking that peno.

    I disagree massively.

It's not and never has been the likes of Pep, Enzo and Co that make football boring it's the knuckle draggers who don't know how to respond to it without playing anti football that is the problem.

Barcelona at their best were amazing to watch just as Leicester last season at their best were amazing to watch. But people afraid to lose see these teams coming and know the path of least resistance is parking the bus and never engaging. Everyone sneers when Pep and Rodri and Co complain about teams refusing to play against them and from a financial point or view I do understand that but that doesn't mean they're wrong.

Bielsa is a puritan. He'd usually rather his teams get battered at least trying and taking risks than being pragmatic. He's definitely not the problem.

I respect your opinion but I felt we were very seldom great to watch last season.

Even when we were winning it was boring as ****. I kept having to remind myself to be happy as we were winning rather than actually enjoying it.

    Ha!

I'm sure the threads will be archived if you want to reread 🙃

I get your point but this to me is a perfectly acceptable moan. I'm sure we all know commercially you take the biggest bag of cash but given the money we waste anyway I'd have preferred a slightly smaller bag from a less horrible industry

I see your point I'm just so tired of all the negativity on ft these days.

It used to be great fun and banter but now all threads descend into endless moaning and doomsaying.

We made it to 20 years! Thanks to everyone here today and all those over the years who helped the site grow and make it what it is today. The forum was originally set up on the 3rd July 2004 (then later relaunched on 11th July after I pressed the wrong button and deleted everything), so I've got some FoxesTalk Chillys bottles made.

I have 10 to give away. To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is make at least 20 posts between today and the 11th July, then the winners will be drawn randomly. 👍

There are 20 more available for purchase HERE should anyone want to purchase one themselves.

That's awesome. Do they ship to the USA?

  7. I'm sure this was a lot of his media team pushing him but he did not need to put anything out other than a "thanks lcfc fans".

Can't remember any other player putting something out like this. Cheers Kiernan, all the best.

You state that O'Hare is not a PL player.

Going by your stupid logic then neither is KDH. He was shocking in the PL but a great championship player.

You stating that receiving 30 million plus a young striker that will improve.

    A free agent

A talented Carvalho for £10 Million

Avoiding another points deduction and more players that will only go up in value that will benefit the club in the future would be the worse transfer window??

Put the crack pipe down and stick to making toast as that's probably all you would be good at!!

I agree with you but let's not get personal with the insults.

I've, probably unsurprisingly, got quite a few friends who are Jacks. I've known about Cooper long before he rocked up in the Midlands and I'm aware his Swansea side played a lot differently to his Forest side.

But, honestly, this is part of the problem for me.

I appreciate a LOT of this forum want a pragmatist but I'm quite suspicious of someone that preaches a way of playing like a disciple of the theory but then implements something completely different because they're struggling to pull it off. Enzo turned up at a squad that many on here had written off as incapable of playing technical football and got all of them, even Wilf and Hamza, playing like peak Brazil within days.

But Cooper's Forest weren't just bad they were hideous. I think it's disingenuous a lot of the time to dismiss teams as lucky for the final league standings, it's a 38 game season after all, but they really were saved by some obnoxiously flukey moments in what was an immensely narrow race and honestly finishing ahead of us and Everton was no great achievement.

Peak Brazil is a ****in huge exaggeration.

But it's highly pertinent given the charges were dropped and a lot of the evidence was made public? I was responding to somebody who didn't know about the case so whilst not being specific, I was simply trying to give the context; which is, if the charges were not dropped there is a 99.99% he'd have been found guilty (even accounting for the protection famous people get). We're not talking about Benjamin Mendy or 'player x' from Everton where the evidence isn't public and refutable.

I didn't know that she had a child with him until a few mins ago, and not did I know she had in fact got back together with him. So I think my assumptions were correct. Yes, I did suggest that money was involved but if you read what I actually said, you'll see that I also said that she is likely to have some serious issues, which is very sad. You're right, that she may indeed love him and human beings don't have a lot of control over who they do love. But, there is no way you don't have huge self-esteem or self-worth issues. And the idea that their relationship is 'otherwise strong' is absolutely laughable. It's one thing to do something by accident in a moment of anger and show immediate remorse but to do what he did is despicable and is the not the way you treat somebody you love or what any healthy relationship looks like.

Let's not pretend that what happened was normal as is just something that happens on a relationship. It's not for me to decide who she can or can't be in a relationship with but don't expect anyone with a moral compass to sit there and not question it.

And rather ironically, you've made it more mean spirited as I didn't know her name so was speculating/commenting on an unnamed person, and now it's an identifiable person... And don't forget that she leaked and published this information herself, only to then drop the charges, so she has opened herself up to scrutiny. I don't know the woman so have no personal vendetta against just stating that she is intrinsically linked to the case and her actions are highly relevant for a fuller and more complete situation, so that it's not a case of people suddenly thinking that as Greenwood wasn't found guilty in the legal system, it means he didn't do what he clearly did

What did he actually ****in do though?

    I still don't know.

It’s very hard to forget what he did.
It would turn a lot of female fans away from the club

    What did he actually do?

All I read were the articles on the BBC, which did not go into any detail.
