  1. Everyone is talking about him being a short term manager option only. Every manager is seemingly a short term appointment these days.

I can understand some people upset that it's a lack of ambition but I think our lofty success days are behind us.

We need a someone with proven success and had an edge about them, which he has.

Other than the title winning season, the most enjoyable time for me watching Leicester was under Pearson, with defenders who could actually defend and wingers who would bomb forward. It was genuinely exciting. I'm over the possession style football.

Haha it was a tongue in cheek comment.

On a serious note, it is quite the predicament, knowing we need a huge overhaul but also knowing the people in charge aren't capable and may further ruin everything by signing players like Danny Ings to a 3 year 75k a week deal.

I know, but there is some truth in it. That's the worrying thing - that the club is seemingly run that bad.

Agree, I actually think a transfer embargo and business plan might save us from ourselves 😅

Sweet Jesus it's bad when we're are happy about the league putting restrictions on us.

This would have to send a message to the board if the fans were behind it.

lol all of a sudden thinking this business plan is actually a bit of a godsend rather than a problem.

Make a mess and get punished by having our mess cleaned up for us. This lot really do have a talent.

That's an interesting view that I can't find a reason to argue against 😂.

The idea of watching Winks, Skipp, Faes, Vestergaard, Daka etc in the championship genuinely makes me feel so empty.

It will never happen I understand but I’d love it if we completely start again and gut the squad and utilise the academy plus some fresh faces.

I realise I’m living in fantasy land if I think that’s going to happen but would be nice

Empty is a good word to describe how I feel about the current team too (Vardy aside).

I think as long as we see a couple of local lads in the side it will go a long way in terms of bringing the fans back on board.

  6. Sorry you are feeling this way. It's been like this for me since the bogers season.

I didn't expect anything less in the transfer window. Actually surprised we signed someone permanent and not another horrific loan. Sounds like we also dodged a Dawson shaped bullet.

You'd hope that they'd now start blooding some of the youngsters for the championship next season but there is no hope anymore.

Hmmm. We were and we weren't, some definite revisionism goes on around that season because the scoreline was never indicative of a slapping and that side adn manager had (rightfully) a lot of credit in the bank largely.

Genuinely pitiful away losses to Palace, Swansea, Southampton, Newcastle and a home loss to West Brom where we didn't lay a glove and scored a grand total of 0 goals within the space of about 6 weeks hardly gave cause for optimism. I liked that side more but this lot don't have an insurmountable task.

Hard to judge for me looking back given how successful the team went on to be, but I felt more confident with the players and staff in place.

Let's just hope for another turnaround this season. As things stand halfway through its hard to argue that we aren't were we are supposed to be. From what I've seen only Southampton look worse than us and that's also reflected in the table.

  8. For people saying he's flavour of the month, wasn't he considered in the summer before Cooper?

When Cooper was on the verge this place was a melt down.

Glad it seems more than half of people are excited. So much doom and gloom for everyone when Cooper was in. Even if Ruud is a failure, at least we can be excited to start with.

Na, Sousa was shite but he has to be above the clown we've just binned purely off the fact he was effortlessly classy, he looks like he sweats Paco Rabanne Black XS

Sousa also set the foundation for the title winning season with signings like Moreno, Lamey and Vitor

Didn't someone describe Vitor's running style like a man charging through with a bin bag in each hand 😆?

I remember Gallagher saying how great pre season was as sousa didn't really value fitness, they they didn't have any gruelling training sessions. It was all about touch. Which was great until we started actually playing football and we all looked knackered after 30 mins....

I remember that too 😂. Wasn't it something like "I've never had preseason like this, we normally start football stuff on week 2 or 3 but we've gone straight in with ball work".

  11. Tater Peeler aside, Cooper has to be one of the worst appointments. Seems a nice enough guy but he was cursed from the start.

I wanted him to succeed but with the Forest background was always going to be a hard sell.

Then the preseason games came. I know preseason generally mean FA but we were so shit.

Then the signings. Then the complete shit performances even though we got a couple of wins potentially in spite of his management.

His appointment really brought about apathy to the fans like I've never seen before. So many people disenchanted with everything including myself.

Really hope the next appointment works out.

I don't, not anymore, but people I care for, vulnerable and marginalised people, do. I just hope their blood isn't the price of cheaper whatever.

As my wife put it, people value the price of eggs more than women's rights.

Or the future of the biosphere. Or being stuck in a lifetime of debt because you got injured or sick and it's that or die and pass the debt on to your next of kin.

    People are too short-sighted.

Anyway I don't know if you live over here but Trumpers are more than every-other person, it will be really hard going through daily life thinking everyone supports fascism.
