Something about Nugent scoring makes me smile.
Always like Waghorn too. Feel like everyone desperately wanted him to be the next big thing but unfortunately wasn't good enough, not for the lack of effort though. Don't remember a player hitting the woodwork more than him.

It's like a champ man new season and the youth crop is amazing.

I don't remember a time when we have had so many prospects coming through at once. It's really genuinely exciting.
It's masking a lot of problems at the club but whatever, if it's the fruit of the new training ground then it's something the ownership has done well.

Daka scoring two (no matter how shite) is a definite positive.

Sorry if it's already been said, but with all the youngsters coming through it feels like we have already made some signings.

To elaborate on my issue with it, it's that horrible thin trim line that appears to be present on each kit that ruins it for me. It really does just look like a template from a PS2-era game, like a low-res knock-off of the real thing. It just looks awkward and might as well not even be there, because visually it just cuts it up into chunks and looks cheap.
I've not been the biggest fan of the shirts Adidas have done for us in general, think the partnership with Puma gave us some far better overall designs. But then I guess we should count our lucky stars that they're still our partner at all, because I imagine we're only still with them due to a long-term contract we probably can't get out of. I wouldn't put it past Whelan and co. to jump ship to something cheaper (Castore most likely) the moment our partnership is up for renewal. At least an Adidas shirt will last you a few wash cycles before it falls to bits.
Respect for finding the pes screenshot.

What are your moments of utter brilliance from an otherwise completely forgettable player? I'll start:
Ahmed Musa v Barcelona. Dribbles from the halfway line and scores. *it was a friendly
Jeff Bruma v Watford. Scored two 30 yarders in one game. Not done anything before or since.
Danny Ward (Yes, I'm going there) v Walsall. Saved all his penalties in the shootout. Fair play.
Musa v Barca was mad weren't it. I remember thinking we'd signed a great player.

From my Hammarby supporting mate:
“Hope you enjoy endless passing the ball back and forth without progressing up the pitch.”
”…sorry to say flexible would be the last word I would use to describe him.”
”Towards the end people were losing their shit in the stands as we were once again not even getting into the final third the moment an opponent decided not to press high.”
😬
It's called "modern, progressive football" according to the official statement.

Heskey got ridiculed later on in his career unfairly. But he definitely did peak when he was younger, arguably at us and his first couple years at Liverpool.
Similar to Rooney but at a lesser extent I suppose, the younger years were his top level.
Look at how Heskey could dribble, run, power through defenders, head it. He was quality. Scored some good goals too when you watch some of his finishes for us.
Is he arguably the best player we have produced through our academy in the last 30 years?
Not even sure it's an argument given how many international caps he got. Anyone else come close?

I'd give it one game before someone blames Wellens.

FA Cup winner in his only full season for us.
Shouldn't that be positive enough?
I agree. Players come and go, but they can't take the FA cup away from us.
Anyone who was in that team deserves credit.

I always love it when he scores. He seems to enjoy scoring more than most I've ever seen play for us. That in itself is just a joy to watch.

Izzet then Dickov were my first heroes as a kid, though my earliest memories are of Gran banging the tea tray every time 'her little Cottee' scored.
In order for me in 'my era' Super Stevie Howard, Waghorn, Nuge, Kingy, Wasilewski, Vardy and Albrighton.
Of the current crop left, it's only really Ricky P I could make a case for. Squad's rotten.
Stevie Howard's goal against Leeds was great. Remember it being the only time I've cheered as loud as I possibly could but couldn't even hear myself over the noise of everyone else it was a weird feeling.

Nothing personal against him. Hopefully he's a nice bloke.
Worst keeper I've ever seen play for us. I thought Pressman would be the worst. I was wrong.

And that of course is why we need changes at board level.
How many profitable assets have we signed recently? Hermansen, Fatawu and El Khannouss. Brighton for example, we don’t have enough fingers to count how many profitable assets they’ve signed for their football club, it’s double figures worth.
The one thing I’m clinging on to, is how Swansea City’s squad looked when Russell Martin was there. In his first season at Swansea, they had the 4th youngest squad in the Championship. In his second season, they had the 2nd youngest squad in the Championship.
If he can bring the average age of our squad down, then he’ll get a pat on the back from me.
Finally, something promising from Martin! If he gives our youngsters a chance, he'll earn more patience from the fans – and certainly from me. I can stomach a boring draw or loss if our academy lads are getting playing time and showing promise. What I can't stand is seeing overpaid journeymen with nothing to play for out on the pitch.

The sad thing is, if Enzo spent 5 minutes of some games, pumping it long with Vesty up front knocking it down for Vards, Mavidid and Fatawu to run on to, there wouldnt have been any complaints at all.
Specifically the last 5 would have been nice.
That was the most frustrating thing for me, when we were looking for a winner and seeing Wout, ball at feet, hand on hips at the half way line with players in front of him, only to slowly pass it back the the keeper. It was infuriating.

I didn't know that a rat is a historical reference to the persecution of Jewish people either to be fair. Probably should have looked more closely about what he's posting if it's on a particularly touchy subject as the message he's trying to get across just gets lost.

People are falling into a trap again, of “steady park of hands” or a “manager who takes no shit”.
Dyche and Leicester aren’t a good fit, he doesn’t offer a brand of football that the board will want and I he would be harmful for the development of the academy.
We don’t need a battle axe, we need a forward thinking manager who knows exactly what they want…. Just like we had with Enzo, he wasn’t Dyche?
This is a sign of our desperation as a fan base…..
Is it not a desperate time?

Conveniently switched allegiances when we won the title and were all over the news though.
