The article reads that some players don't like Cooper because he is too relaxed and also didn't like Enzo because he was too bossy.
Â
Jesus, they just need to get over themselves and play football.Â

Don't know how this thread became a general discussion on last GKs but Ricardo was genuinely dreadful. From memory, he was the worst keeper I've ever seen at claiming crosses. I was on of those fans singing Weale's name in whatever game it was he made another dreadful blunder.
Â
Weale was only OK, he definitely got worse the longer he was with us.
I thought Weale was pretty good in the championship and felt nice finally having someone you knew was going to start. I think after Ian Walker we had about million different shit keepers until Weale came in. Maybe that is reasoning enough to remember him fondly. Still scarred by the Kevin Pressman blunder.
Â
I remember being excited by Ricardo but then very disappointed 😂.
Â
Things definitely got better once Kasper came in.

Id be interested to see/hear from fans from other clubs to see how we compare.

A depressing lack of them from our own system in recent years - the club was decimated by administrations in 2003 and 2010 and the the youth system among others was a mess.  The current owners came in in 2014 and have slowly been transforming everything about the club (see new stadium plans video released a few days ago). Gordon Strachan came in a few years ago to overhaul the youth system and we are now just starting to see the results.  Lyall Cameron is the pick of them so far, Scotland u21 and likely moving on to bigger things within the next year. 16 year old Seb Lochhead looks like he’s about to sign for Wolves and 15 year old keeper Ally Graham has interest from all over including Arsenal.
Â
Aside from that the best players to play for us previously are probably Glen Kamara at Rennes and notably Owen Beck who we had from Liverpool last season, now at Blackburn. Â Luke McCowan would fall into this category too having taken him from relative obscurity at Ayr Utd to being linked with a 7 figure bid from Celtic.
Â
We’ve been the definition of a yo-yo club for the last few years, so stability was the target last season and we overshot massively, only just missing out on Europe in the last few games. Most people assumed we would fall back a bit this season so survival was still probably the goal, maybe aiming for top 6.  So far though we are absolutely flying sitting 4th and including the league cup groups and last 16, have scored 31 in 8 games so far, so considering Hearts, Hibs and Kilmarnock have all had shocking starts, suddenly we are probably hoping Europe.  I’m sure that’ll come crashing back to Earth after we play fellow challengers St Mirren who pipped us to the last spot last season.
Definition of a yoyo club sounds depressingly familiar.
Â
Sounds like a good blend of youth in the squad then. Always exciting to see that.

Anyone getting caps for England youth sides has clearly got something about them. Our manager's record so far with all signings has been tremendous as well, there have only been 1 or 2 that haven't been better than what we've seen previously, so no reason to think Braybrooke will be different. The only concerns really are how long it may take him to get up to speed after a bad injury and not having played at this level really. We have an exceptionally young side already though, full of Scotland, England and France youth players and they're not exactly struggling so hopefully that helps him settle in.
I'm sure we'll all be following his progress and hoping Dundee do well.
Â
Any notable players that have come through the team and gone on to good things recently?
Â
What are the expectations for Dundee this season?

Dundee fan here! As someone said it will be a good mixture of opposition for him to test himself against. There are games we should be on the front foot, derbies that are really blood and thunder (I'd urge you to watch the highlights of the first one this season) and games where we will have to sit in. Part of the problem with the perception of our league is that nearly every televised match is "Insert Diddy Club Here" v Celtic/Rangers and that just makes every other side look terrible. Highlights from our derby draw (Sky) and win over Hearts (Premier Sports) will give you a better idea of standard.
Â
There's only one plastic pitch at Kilmarnock. There are no more we can play on in the League Cup so the only others would be in the Scottish Cup. Even then there aren't as many in Scotland as you might expect.
Â
It will be interesting to see how much he plays as he's trying to break into the strongest and most settled part of our team. If Luke McCowan joins Celtic or someone else today as rumoured then he may slot into his role without much other competition, but if not then he will have his work cut out to establish himself. His best chance might actually come against Rangers in the cup next month (on Premier) as we will likely play 2 deeper players rather than 1, so he may play alongside Sylla.
Â
The view of Scottish football is a little outdated, but probably persists due to the issue with the television choices. We tend to play a mixture of long and short, but always very high intensity with good passing through the middle, so hopefully he slots in well.
Hi Stu, thanks for posting!
Â
What are your thoughts about Braybrook? There seems to be genuine hope on here that he will end up in the first team at some point, there were even (more) than a few that thought he would be an impact sub for us this season.
Â
I think if we didn't have Alves on our books he'd probably be the highest rated youngster in our ranks.
-
I thought the whole team played well in the second half TBH and Reid was in on those few big moves (granted I watched it on the TV so didn't see the bigger picture). I would argue second half wilf may have been the worse? But it's hard to pick for me, wilf made that clearance in the first half which was pivotal.

It's not proper competition though because Reid doesnt have a serious claim to the spot outside of the Prem proven tag. Mavididi is clearly the better player and should be starting on merit.
Â
I would understand if we had brought in a good player to compete for the spot but Reid was our worst performer by a margin on Monday. Unless Reid improves significantly from pre season and the Spurs game then even if Mavididi is hungrier in the 10 minutes he comes on/the occasional start we are still worse off as a team because we have to put up with Reid who is worse than a less hungry Mavididi.
Worse than Soumare? Give your head a wobble mate.

Yes. If he ever retires (and I don't want to think about it), yesterday's goal and his gesture to the Spurs fans is going on my compilation tape - which currently stands at about 8 hours long. And I am positive it will just be one of many more classic Vardy moments he gives us this season.Â
I liked the post match where Carragher was umming and aaring on whether he was our greatest player. I don't think it would take many Leicester fans to spend as long as him to decide.

Cooper said he was trying to bring several players in. Calm down everyone.Â
Â
Could be a good squad player. 5 subs and all that. Yes it's not the most sexy signing but it's going to be a long season, we need some prem experience.
-
His work rate is great too.
Â
I agree he's unspectacular but seems to pop up with important goals. Good in the air too.

Same. The start of our demise really.Â
Â
Don't think I've felt good/optimistic about Leicester after that. Really was the end of the golden era.

Maybe worse at the time of playing for Leicester, but half of those had a decent top flight career.
Lets see how the next 10 years go for Luke Thomas, as he may well do the same as Alan Sheehan (Just with a FA Cup win)
I don't think anyone is arguing he is or will be a great player just that he is not the worst lb for us.

Luke Thomas is just about league 1 level. One of the worse left backs I’ve seen at the club. Not the worse but in top half a dozen for uselessness
I'm not a Luke Thomas fan, but one of the worst? He was in the fa cup winning team ffs.
Â
Just Google our teams from the darkages in the mid 00's you'll find a bunch there much worse.

More the point of we don't have any sort of plan, so if we had one and that was relayed the fans, players, sponsors etc know what we are aiming for.  Best examples I can think of are Brentford and FC Nordsjælland. It's all scalable.
It's hard to argue they have a plan if they won't say anything. Hard to say if people would be onboard with a rebuilding period statement however they worded it.Â
Â
I would be fine with it though. Just be nice to hear something.
Â
Let's just hope they have a secret master plan we are all too stupid to understand.Â

Totally. If they came out and said actually for 5-7 years we are going be a Norwich and bounce up and down at best but we are developing youth, we aim to have 5-6 youth products in the first team by X the fans would mostly be patient. The issue is there is no plan, their deluded ideas about being a top 6 club screwed us up and we are now where we are. Likely to go down with a worse squad than before and from there, goodness knows!
Â
If you have a plan, a strategy and an identity you become attractive to players, managers, staff, fans and sponsors.Â
Â
It's a rudderless ship with Rudders himself at the helm.
Has any club come out with a statement like that?
Â
It does seem we are shocking with communication but I don't think I've seen a club come out with anything like thatÂ
-
Thought it was alright from what I saw. Nice forward passes on the first half. Thought Mavididi was looking sharp and trying lots of nice tricks.Â

I read that article too. Strange the BBC put that out. It's only a preseason friendly and they didn't lose.Â
Â
I'm not a pro Maresca man myself, I found his football ****in tedious but it sounds like they are already trying to feed the fire with an agenda against him.
