  1. Missed watching the game today so can't comment on it, but 2-0 isn't a bad result for a United side that are having a really good season. It's going to be a tough couple of weeks for us to get any results, we just have to look to bounce back against Brighton.
  2. It's funny you should say that, I was thinking that she might be a capable replacement for Cayman in more of a 10 role. Assuming Janice is probably not going to be staying past this season.
  3. I don't usually go to the Men's teams pages of FT, particularly when we aren't doing too great... But I did after tonight and had to retreat back to the safe space after I nearly drowned from existential dread.
  4. The thing with Las at the moment is that it feels like she is confident when attacking, but lacks confidence and is way too lightweight to defend, which is unfortunately necessary when we spend most of the game defending against most opponents. She's obviously still super young though, so still has a lot of development ahead. She's mega exciting though.
  5. Good game today. Really happy with that won, shame our next 2 games are away against man U and Chelsea, when we could have used this win for some good momentum. We got very sloppy after scoring the third goal and gave away some chances that we had been lucky to not concede with. Mace and Howard both played bizarre balls in and around the box. Hlin and Torres looked good though. Really impressed with torres' energy when she came on and looked strong despite having a slight frame
  6. Hoping for a big win today. It's perfectly doable with the position Villa are in. These are the teams we want to get those vital wins from. We just need to play well for more than 1 half. Going for a 2-1 win.
  7. Haven't been able to watch the game due to being out. Kind of glad that we are fielding a 2nd string team, focus rightly should be on the league. Result will be disappointing, but hopefully the rest for the first team will be worth while for next weekend
  8. That does make sense in that case, but yes, surely she could have gone in from the 60th minute at least.
  9. Hlin really should have been brought on a LOT earlier, I don't think it would have changed the result as we couldn't fight our way out of a wet paper bag in the 2nd half, it at least might have given them a bit more to think about rather than just our lightweight forward line that are easy to bully. Aside from Missy, Momiki and maybe Mace (the 3 M's), I don't think anyone is having a good season, let alone great. I would give my right leg for Rantala to return for the next league game. Really thought the Liverpool game was a turning point for us.
  10. Quietly confident we can go 2 for 2 today and leapfrog Everton and a few others too...
  11. Would be interesting to know how the scouting network works for us. I wouldn't imagine that we have scouts across the world specifically to scout for the women's team, can imagine it's quite expensive.
  12. Feels a little harsh... We don't have the money to do what Chelsea is doing. And not sure Palaces transfers are much better than ours really. Something I have noticed a lot about WSL reporting, it is extremely London weighted.
  13. Oh dear... That's a lot... We haven't got the money to rebuild, especially to that extent. I hope we start hearing about new contracts soon then. This is far more worrying than who we brought in during the Jan transfer window. Obviously some in there that I wouldn't mind saying goodbye to, but a lot of these are the spine of our team.
  14. Happy with this signing, seems to know how to put the ball in the back of the net and is hopefully a bit more mobile than Takarada... If she's not that great, we should be able to scrape by til the end of the season and then have Peterman and Mouchon back for next campaign to take back over. Does anyone know who's contracts are up in the summer? Rantala, Cayman and Howard are the three I am aware of, right?
  15. I can imagine that if there is nothing happening by deadline day the thought may be that our current performances may get us over the line without spending and then potentially having more of a dilemma when it comes to these current strikers being fit again. We know we can't afford upgrades on what we currently have and I think the hope that someone may be willing to gamble, take a loan here to look to play themselves into a Euros team is pretty slim really. The lack of goals is a big concern, but we are picking up more points than Palace and for the most part we are playing well.
  16. Hope she comes back at the end of the loan, hasn't had much time but seems quite promising when she has come on.
  17. Is the KP still the main stadium for the home games this season? I'm considering getting a season ticket for me and my daughter, but can't seem to find anything mentioning the stadium situation.
  18. Is cuphead out on the switch? I always thought it was the perfect game for it, but I thought Microsoft brought the rights or exclusivity for it? Might be wrong... And if so, I'm getting it!
  19. Would be great, but as previously mentioned, there's just not the internet infrastructure there for it to be rolled out to the masses. Never know, could be a Nintendo Switch in the waiting though.
  20. okay, so I'll just say as a blanket to cover all eventualities... Money talks, I'm sure we didn't want to sell Mahrez or Drinkwater, but enough money came up for them, so we did. If we where willing to cave in with Mahrez, I'm sure we will do the same with Chilwell.
  21. I haven't played a Pokemon game (other than Let's Go) since gen 3, I've never really had the desire to buy a Gameboy to pretty much just play Pokemon. So now that I have a Switch, I'm very excited to pick this up. Shame we're gonna have to wait until what I'm guessing will be December.
  22. Well funnily enough, that was exactly the point I was making... At no point did I say that Chilwell would throw his toys out the pram or force a move.
  23. That's great, so whoever comes in for him will have to pay more. It means nothing. I'm pretty sure we said "you ain't going" to Mahrez, Drinkwater, Kante... And they gone.
  24. Doesn't mean they can't hand him another one as soon as Man City start throwing in some serious offers. Or at least try, it happens every season.
  25. I can definitely see Chilwell leaving in the summer, unless we haven't learnt from our previous mistakes and chuck a 100k a week contract at him to try and get him to stay. So Tierney would be a perfect replacement.
