  1. I've been banging on about the Hinckley stadium for a while now, it's now used by what is essentially just a pub team. It will need a decent amount of money spending on it as it's not been mainined particularly well due to the financial issues it's been through. Would probably also require buying out the gym and other businesses that are also in there which takes up a lot of the internal stadium space. I can't imagine it would be expensive to buy the stadium and grounds itself. I'd like that they play at the KP if they could even fill the main stand and get a bit of an atmosphere going. I personally think it would be worth buying the Hinckley stadium, investing in making it the women's stadium (maybe even as a training ground too with the grasslands at the side of the stadium), maybe once Belvoir Drive is sold. It surely has to be a cheaper option than playing games at the KP and using the current training ground. They don't seem to want to move them over to seagrave for some reason.
  2. I agree, square pegs and round holes. Williams will put herself about, be a bit of a menace and does have quality. You have to play to her strengths though, get the ball to feet around goal and she will trouble the goal. But we just don't, or can't. I really do feel that we wouldn't be in the deep s**t we're in now if we could keep Mouchon fit. We wouldn't br up there, but I think we'd maybe have been able to stay out of the race for the bottom.
  3. Such a shame we couldn't pick up in the 2nd half where we started in the 1st. Can't even necessarily say it was for a lack of creativity when we can't make simple passes in the first place. No one seemed to be on the same page at all. We rely so much on our wingers to create everything, but they just don't have the quality. Front 3 all so easily muscled off the ball, Missy struggles to produce in the final third, Cain at least got the assist, but often just runs into dead ends, Shannon is just completely ineffective, not strong, fast or skillful. Lehmann looked dangerous when going forward, but just couldn't get the ball to her feet enough. Really disappointing and only a minor miracle can save us from finishing bottom now.
  4. Looks like there is going to be a lot of absentees for the game on Sunday. No Mouchon, Kees, Van Egmond still on Asia Cup duty, probably no Swaby and Mayling not allowed to play against her parent club. The game is winnable, but I think we're really going to struggle again. Rantala is on grass again, but by the time she can play, it's probably going to be too little, too late.
  5. I noticed the OH's womens team had been playing in the Champions league! Wonder if they are under the same ownership structure.
  6. I know i should despair, but I can't help but find that hilarious... I guess if you don't laugh, you'll cry.
  7. We do, we've consistently been the team touted to go down every year we've been in the WSL, but picking up home wins again those mid-table and below has kept us up (as well as being marginally better than the newly promoted sides), we can't even do that at the minute. A reset in the WSL2 may not be there worst thing for the club, it would just be a massive shame.
  8. I think you mean Rudders
  9. Anyone going to the Q&A with Tierney and Passmoor this week? It would be an interesting one...
  10. It's all over now unfortunately. I could potentially see a glimmer of hope of we manage to beat Villa and Brighton at home and other results go our way, but that is a very big ask.
  11. How? For the men's team, potentially, but don't see how the women's team benefits.
  12. Blimey, we are s***e... No fight or desire at all, just soft all over the pitch. No quality.
  13. I was under the impression this game was going to be on youtube. Is it not?
  14. Looks like maybe Williams will bring playing more as a 10 with Shannon up top, good decision. Would have preferred to see mouchon up top, I am sure I read she's not fit, but then begs the question as to why she's even benched. But I guess the squad being thin enough may be the answer.
  15. I'd be going too if it wasn't mother's day. I think it's going to be an interesting game. But how the tables have turned with the fact that we are now huge underdogs in the game, when not that long ago, West Ham and Liverpool looked stranded at the bottom.
  16. I mean Palace ran all over us when we played them in the cup, and that was technically at home... I would still fancy our chances whoever we play, but it won't be an easy game by any shot.
  17. Whichever WSL2 team that qualifies for the play-off will get home advantage. Uh oh... That might put the nail in our coffin. Am I right that we haven't won an away game in over 2 seasons?
  18. Are they listening... Villa game is kicking off at 2:25 and Brighton is staying at 3! Dare I say that this is progression? I mean there's still a lot of 12 kick-offs, but hopefully it continues.
  19. Results have gone our way today, Everton won, but you'd rather that than West Ham pick up any points. Will mean nothing if we don't beat Liverpool in a few weeks though.
  20. My hope is that it's for Billiard to sort. Billiard did well for us in the transfer market, hopefully he can do the same in this case. Though I expect Rick is a mate, so who knows.
  21. Glad I turned it off when I did, wish I'd done it sooner. Abysmal is the only was to describe it. If we are going to change managers, we HAVE to do it now. Allow us to get a new one through the door and give them some time during the international break. But I highly doubt it will happen.
  22. And just like that I have turned it off. I wasn't expecting us to win and wouldn't have batted much of an eye at loosing 4-0, but for it to be so after about half hour is embarrassing. I think I am fully tipped over now to "Rick out"
  23. It's way too easy for them. We don't look bad going forward and should have had 2 goals of our own, we are just so static and lightweight at the back, Bunny Shaw is going to pummel us all game.
  24. Anyone else get thrown by the fact it's a 7pm kick-off and only tuned in 10 seconds before they've just scored...
  25. Agree, we should approach these games as a free hit. Doesn't seem to happen though, unfortunately.
