  1. I haven't experienced this problem yet. What I have noticed though is that the shading effects on snow from trees appear pixelated quite a bit. Apart from this obvious graphical flaw, there isn't too much to complain about.
  2. I started back up on this when returning from work with the intention of seeing the greybeard people at the top of the 7000 steps. I gave myself two hours for this little jolly. Two hours later, I stumbled across a dungeon and killed a mage, wandered up the mountain only to be arrested and sent to a town on the other side of the map, hiked it all the way back and then took out a guy posing to be a ghost in a lair across the road from an inn. I haven't even started what I intended on setting out to do. This game brings a whole new meaning to the word "sidetracked".
  3. I'm struggling with the first mission for the companions based in shimmering cave. Anyone done this? I made it to the final room and the boss in there summons something else, the room becomes disorientating and basically it's rock solid at level 8, which is what I am. May just stick to the main quest for a while, level up that way and then go back. Done a load of bounty's, they were easy enough.
  4. Travelling through these dungeons is like something out of an Indiana Jones movie. I have joined the companions and completed a couple of quests for them. I was sent to the shimmering cave but have struggled with that so will go back later. Currently lvl6 and am liking the magic aspect of the game. Clearly a take from Bioshock but it's all good.
  5. I have given this a quick blast. Completed the golden claw mission. It's good but it's more of the same. That's not a bad thing but it does what you expect - no surprises so far. Graphics didn't give me the wow factor Oblivion did either.
  6. Apologies for "bumming" DS. It's damn good though. So, how's Skyrim? I should buy this evening. If there's some left...
  7. If this game is a difficult as Dark Souls it has my respect. If not, I'll still like it, but it won't draw me in as much as Dark Souls does. I'll pick it up tomorrow.
  8. Dark Souls for GOTY. Not this. I'm sure it's great but I get the feeling it'll be a prettier version of Oblivion.
  9. To be expected. This, AC:R and the completion of Dark Souls. That's me sorted 'til next March and ME3!
  10. Sky News Jacko verdict - guilty.
  11. I'm 35 hours into Dark Souls. Can't see myself finishing it before the release of this. It's going to take a lot to be better than Dark Souls - one of the greatest, most challenging games to be released in years.
  12. Decent enough. 7/10.
  13. The fact that this is being optimised for 360 is neither here nor there really. We're now 4 years down the line and any multiformat release is always equal or better on 360 compared to PS3. By the time PS3 is showing its true power, Microsoft will go out and launch 720. Simples. As for this game, this walk in the park, a nice quiet stroll, sightseeing, the complete opposite to DS, it will hopefully live up to the hype. Will it be DS good? I'll put money on the table that it isn't anywhere near as intense as DS is.
  14. Inception is good. If you rate it at a 1, what does that make dross like this... Absolutely dire sci-fi movie.
  15. I liked the first hour and then it became a bit of a mess. And it wasn't scary at all. I was expecting something as good as The Ring, but it never materialised. Never mind...
  16. This to watch at the weekend. Any good people?
  17. Ironclad was good. Have just finished watching it. You will like it. There's enough action in there to keep it ticking over. Historically, fairly accurate and well worth watching. 7/10.
  18. I now have this... Expecting a blood fest tomorrow night with a beer or two!
  19. I would seriously consider getting both if your PC is up to it.
  20. It must be the years of owning a PS3 and hoping for news that it has finally trumped the 360 on a multiformat release. Only for hopes to be dashed eh? On 360 it even ships on one dvd. Yes, one. Sorry PS3 people, you can't even get one over on that score either. Just kidding... I'm sure it'll be just fine on whatever platform it's on.
  21. It was very good. Well worth watching. Good twist towards the end.
  22. The game is being optimised for the 360 on consoles, not the PS3. As for a PC version, there hasn't been a demo of it yet running on a PC. The source in the article is a numpty. As for which is better, the 360 and PS3 versions will be identical I would assume. Everything else is since the PS3 still not used to its full potential on multi-format releases.
  23. True. Although these are the extended demos so I guess they are longer?
  24. This tonight... it's as good as Taken.
