I have Nesta and have benched him for Bade. He just felt a bit slow. Having someone with dead ball+ when you've got Drogba in the team would be amazing, corners become lethal

Really loving the changes I've made in the last couple of weeks. Zico, Hojlund and Cannavaro are all great. Bade seems good too, considering using the fs glow up evo on him. Gonna try Merlin out this weekend instead of Havertz.

Started the Zico SBC with a view to him replacing Talisca. Using the new Pina card has made me realise how freaking good Incisive pass is when you use the Direct Passing attacking style

Would be a perfect signing for us. He was fantastic on Saturday, playing as part of a front 3, as they beat West Brom 3-0. Don't think it'll be happening in this window though. Shame, because it'd royally piss off my other half's family

I agree, it's pretty staggering how he's got to premier league level and is as one-footed as he is. You can get away with that sort of thing if you're in a wide area, but I can't think of another top CM who was so one-footed. That said, he definitely makes a huge difference in our side with his pressing and energy, so it was great to have him back on Saturday and hopefully he stays fit for the rest of the season!

Got to admit, him being strong in the air is a very exciting prospect. It's something we completely lack going forwards as a team so could really open up a new dimension of play for us. Whether it's back post crosses or just using him as a way to escape a high press or straight from a goal kick (similar to how KDH got his goal against Liverpool), it could really stretch the opposition and give the likes of Daka/Vardy the space to run in behind.

Just spotted him training with the first team again on the clubs Instagram story. Fingers crossed he gets some minutes tomorrow! Edit: just seen this was mentioned yesterday in the pre match thread. I'm about as good at breaking news as Sky Sports these days

I've got a tenuous link to the inner workings at Bristol City (friend of a friend etc). Apparently Sean St Ledger has been down there a number of times to watch him, and Brendan is a big fan. Personally I think he always looks a class above when I've watched him. Silky on the ball and loves to get stuck in. Very versatile too, he's played CM, CAM and even RWB when I've been there. Rumour down this way though is that he doesn't want to leave, so it might be a case of buy him now and loan him back for the rest of the season, which isn't really what we're looking for!

I do wonder with him why he hasn't be tried as a CB. He doesn't have the ball control or crossing ability to be a modern day RB, but I could see him thriving on the right of a back 3, similar to Calvin Bassey. That said, I definitely don't want us to be the one's to try and find out whether I'm right. I can see him going back to Palace

I tend to agree. I won't begrudge him a move to a top 6 club, but it would absolutely sicken me if he ended up going to Newcastle. I can't decide whether I'd rather he stayed the extra season and we lost him on a free, or he went to Newcastle this summer for £40m. It definitely stings that we're not going to get anything for Youri when he leaves this summer as we desperately need these big sales to reinvest into the squad if we want to compete.

Thought he looked great yesterday, hopefully showing a return to form. Noticed that Faes and Jonny were bringing the ball out of defence much more than usual last night, thus bypassing the need to give Wilf the ball under pressure. Assume this was intentional, can only be a good thing to just allow Wilf to do what he does best.
