In June 2025, Denmark announced plans to strengthen its copyright law to protect people from realistic AI-generated deepfakes. The proposal would give people stronger legal control over unauthorized digital copies of their face, voice, appearance, and movements. If someone creates and publicly shares a realistic AI version of you without consent, you could demand that it be removed and potentially seek compensation. The proposal has broad political support in Denmark and is aimed at protecting people from identity misuse as generative AI becomes more powerful. It has not yet become law, but if approved, Denmark could introduce one of Europe’s strongest legal protections against deepfakes. As AI gets better at copying people, Denmark is asking a simple question: Should your digital identity still belong to you? Would you support a law like this in your country?

The track reached No.1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in December 1962 and was the second British recording to reach No.1 on that chart in the year, after "Stranger on the Shore" in May. It was the second instrumental single to hit No.1 in 1962 on both the US and UK weekly charts. The record was named after the Telstar communications satellite, which was launched into orbit on 10th July 1962. It featured either a clavioline or the similar Jennings Clavioline, both keyboard instruments with distinctive electronic sounds. It was recorded in Meek's studio in a small flat above a shop in Holloway Road, North London. "Telstar" won an Ivor Novello Award and is estimated to have sold at least five million copies worldwide. "This was one of the first sci-fi-influenced pop songs," observed Tim Wheeler of Ash. "For its time it was so futuristic and it still sounds pretty weird today. It features Matt Bellamy's dad George on guitar”. Peterborough United have appointed Forest Green Rovers boss Robbie Savage as their new manager. The 51-year-old replaces Luke Williams at the Weston Homes Stadium after he was sacked on 19 September following a poor start to the League One season which has left Posh 23rd in the division. Savage played as a midfielder for clubs including Derby County, Birmingham City, Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers.
