  1. Very scrappy this half
  2. I don't see it as football, it was much better when the teams came out separately so you could cheer or boo the respective teams. Another side effect of the hooligan 70s
  3. I favour an imaginary card so everyone has to guess who it was for, well we have to guess a lot now as to why the ref blows his whistle and no one knows in the stadium what's happening with VAR.
  4. https://www.irishfa.com/news/2024/february/senior-women-s-team-to-train-in-leicester-ahead-of-play-off-matches The Northern Ireland senior women’s team will be training in Leicester ahead of the upcoming UEFA Women’s Nations League play-off matches against Montenegro. Senior women’s team manager Tanya Oxtoby will be putting the Northern Ireland squad through their paces at the Belvoir Drive training ground in the East Midlands city on Monday 19 February and on the following day. Northern Ireland boss Oxtoby (pictured) said: "I am really excited about this double header and to get the group back together in fresh surroundings is something I feel will help add to our preparations. "We're delighted to be linking up with Leicester City Women for this and looking forward to putting the work in to ultimately give our special fans something to cheer about when we head back to Belfast." Northern Ireland will benefit from the use of LCFC Women’s award-winning training pitches and first class medical facilities during the two-day camp in Leicestershire. An LCFC Women spokesperson said: "We are looking forward to hosting Northern Ireland at Belvoir Drive later this month as part of their UEFA Women’s Nations League preparations. "King Power Stadium (home of Leicester’s men’s and women’s teams) has already hosted international women’s football this season and we’re delighted that the elite level facilities at Belvoir Drive are now being utilised by our international colleagues. We wish Northern Ireland good luck in their upcoming play-off fixtures.” The squad for the games against Montenegro is due to be announced early next week.
  5. ive been to filbert street n stood on the kop those were the days my friend · Join Paul Cufflin · · This weather takes me back to Jan 92, Notts County away midweek ZDS Cup, 8,000 fans in the open end, well and truly soaked by the end of the game, but we went home happy, spot yourself in the crowd ?
  6. So did life.
  7. PS Not selfie.
  8. yeah didn’t it used to be the player receiving the ball had to be offside when they received it
  9. Do they even know how long 10mins are? Judging from what I see in games the refs have no concept of time. Get consistency right first Do away with the delayed offside flagging Have a visible match clock The biggest time wasting is free kicks. Allow quick free kicks insight of goal, it’s up to the defence to get it sorted instead of arguing with the-ref. Consider going back to the rule book before all these changes it seem to work pretty well for decades
  10. https://getfootballnewsbene.com/leicester-city-sister-club-oh-leuven-announce-more-losses-as-total-reaches-e87m/ No date on the article. LEICESTER CITY SISTER CLUB OH LEUVEN ANNOUNCE MORE LOSSES AS TOTAL REACHES €87M 8 February 2024 As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, the sister club of Leicester City, OH Leuven, have announced more losses. The club has revealed their annual loss to be €18m, meaning that the total loss since they were acquired by the Thai owners of the English side have now reached €87m. However, even with the high losses, the clubs owners have continued to inject money into the club to mean that it remains viable and safe from going under. Yet they may well be questioning where their investment over the years has gotten them. While it did help the side gain promotion to the Belgian Pro League, they are in danger this year of being relegated back to the second tier. Back to back wins over Genk and Westerlo have seen them climb out of the bottom four, but only on goal difference as they sit level on points and games won with Charleroi. The rest of February will certainly go a long way to determining the sides fate at the end of the season. They face three struggling sides in Standard Liege, Charleroi and RWDM by the end of the month. After that, its two fixtures against title chasing Union St Gilloise and Club Brugge before a final home game against KV Mechelen. GBeNeFN | Ben Jackson

  14. No one ever wins these disputes On April 6, 1893, the longest boxing fight in history took place. The match lasted 110 rounds! It was between Andy Bowen and Jack Burke and ended up being a draw... Will this one go on longer?
  15. We used to have regular reserve team and league in the 60s so probably the 50s which always included some 1st teamers, no subs back then so you only needed 11 on a matchday as well so might have played in that.
