If the protests aren’t necessary, what exactly should the fans be doing to show their displeasure? To use a business analogy - given Football Clubs like to think of themselves as capable businesses when they’re justifying £57 tickets or £25 to retain a bit of plastic - what set of shareholders (ie the fans) would accept such a fall off in performance with zero communication and accountability? I doubt they would be sitting there thinking ‘oh well, great that they improved the share price to £300 10 years ago. Can’t complain that it’s now £30. Trust the process, the Directors are great guys’ whilst senior management refused to answer any questions but just put out meaningless statements about internal reviews. For what it’s worth I thought some of the visuals on the van were pretty pathetic (others were spot on) and needlessly personal - it’s OK to think Rudkin is not fit for the role and should be sacked/resign but calling him a cvnt etc undermines the cause imo.

Well done @ProjectReset - takes fortitude to get something like this off the ground and you should be proud. Hope one day you feel like you can shake the anonymity because I think that will add to the cause as you have already shown you can organise something important like this successfully behind an online avatar.

Pearson had a dream To build a football team Son went to Thailand Now he’s all on his own He laid on his back Got licked on his crack Champions of England You made us sing that

How big are his hands?

Unquestionably had a positive impact on the atmosphere though.

People won’t like it but the only chance we have of ever improving the atmosphere is if the Club go balls out on a full stadium re-fresh in a similar way to what Cosbeh Fox has outlined... ‘Fvck your precious seat, it’s our stadium and we’re starting again’. If that ties in with the stadium redevelopment then great, if that’s not happening then get on with it now. The clubs that have improved their atmosphere over the past five years or so have all done this. It’s easier when you’re a Cov (who had plenty of room for an L1 equivalent when returning to their ground) but Southampton are the latest to rip up the rule book. They are in a similar position to us with a similar size fanbase, exact replica of a stadium, having a good season which is likely to result in PL football next season. If they can take the risk, why can’t we? Rangers risked upsetting thousands with their latest stadium configuration changes but they recognised the importance of doing it and the players and manager backed the change. Based on the clear evidence that they appreciate SK1, I am sure Enzo and the lads would do the same if it meant more vocal support.

Well at least the Club should now know that a light show doesn’t improve the atmosphere…
-
Oh no BigThicky thinks UFS is failing. Better pack it up and shut up lads. That’ll sort it.

Was trying so hard to listen to what this was from the front but couldn’t work it out, give it another go next week 👌🏼

Casadei fantastico Casadei magnifico Olé olé Casadei olé Someone more musically inclined than I will be able to confirm what tune 😂

Banging chant for him in SK1 too.

He’s the fella who likes to wear interesting head gear to away games, and refused to move from the singing section as that was his seat. All in all, I’d say it was pretty true to form that he’d slag the section off today.
-
Slightly off topic perhaps, but at Birmingham on Monday night they gave out orange wristbands for those in the safe standing section, which is absolutely hilarious when you try to consider the addled logic employed. The safe standing section may become overcrowded due to excess demand for the safety bar… do you a) accept that the majority of away fans stand and as such extend the section to meet such demand or b) hand out wristbands to keep the majority standing in a less-safe environment. Wristbands’ll do the trick, I reckon.

Think we can safely assume we are not one of these fanbases.

The area from where this is being filmed is probably the weirdest section of home support I’ve seen in England. Aquascutum and CP’d up to the nines, giving stacks and yet a handful of stewards got them all sat down within 5 mins. Did enjoy them singing ‘Premier League and you ****ed it up’ at us though. Reckon we should pinch ironically that for ourselves.
-
Not being sarcastic, was a genuine question as I’ve never seen anyone take issue with it before, and my latter point wasn’t specifically directed at you - it’s just that literally every song we have gets criticised in this thread so what hope have we got of singing any?
-
Why is it one of the worst songs going? Anyone who remembers the rendition of it at the Man United relegation home game at Filbo will beg to differ I’m sure. Completely lost track of which songs are good and worthy of singing now. WYS and that’s it?
-
Are you suggesting people don’t sing ‘stand up if you love Leicester’ because they’ve been told on a couple of occasions that it’s an all-seater stadium? 😂 I’m not having a go, by the way, I’ve just never thought of it that way and I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re right for a few of our fans. That said I think it’s far more likely people don’t sing it because either a) they can’t be arsed or b) because they feel like they will get grief from those behind for standing.

Just watched 2 minutes of the Portsmouth vs Bolton match and could not believe my eyes and ears. All four sides of the ground actively supporting the team, on a cold night as well!

Yeah looks like he’s completely oblivious… https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cyy9LEko5-W/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Unfortunately it appears there’s a very specific set of criteria that must be met in order for us to sing: - Not too hot but not too cold - Team playing well but not dominating possession. Counter-attacking preferable. - Opposition must be good - somewhere between us being underdogs and slight favourites. - 85 minute match so people aren’t worrying about missing their evening plans too much to sing. - Ref must be biased against us. - Away fans must be up for it. Anything else I’ve missed?

Recycled Ben Marshall chant from over a decade ago!

Not convinced it affects the atmosphere at all if I’m honest. Goes from a silent occupied seat to a silent empty one.
