  1. Possibly but at least the figures show that there is enough of an appetite amongst those who have bothered to educate themselves about it for the Club to consider making their own enquiries across the fan base to canvass opinion on an official and wider basis. This survey was presumably never intended to come up with a solution but to demonstrate that the Club would be right to discuss a topic that outright affects the safety of fans with fans, rather than take a unilateral 'we know best' position on behalf of fans.
  2. Good news. Would happily contribute towards the crowd-funding. Excellent business move from Shrewsbury by the way - please 90% of football fans all over England and improve safety for standing fans, all for free because they're the trailblazers.
  3. Of course but some of the shite thrown at King on here goes beyond that to the point of stupidity. My post wasn't specifically aimed at you, you just happened to be the prior poster. I just find it bizarre that people want to get rid of a player who is so obviously a fundamental part of the squad's team spirit and work ethic - you know the one that everyone fawns over - and transcends what the Club has been all about for near enough a decade now. No one is saying he deserves to start every game but for me he is more than worthy of a place on the bench and I am happy enough when he fills in. There are other areas I am far more concerned about.
  4. Mental how many actual football managers have come in and trusted King to do a job - either starting or from the bench - yet many fans continue to question his ability and value to the squad. 350+ appearances 62 goals 3 titles Still no respect. Find it embarrassing and bewildering.
  5. Was class second half. First half was a bit meh after a good initial 5, even before their goal.
  6. Let's see how we're getting on in 50 years fella.
  7. http://www.ultras-tifo.net/news/4834-news-incidents-with-bayern-fans-in-madrid-18-04-2017.html Just doing their 'job' these lads
  8. What about first half? We seem to have conceded a lot just before half time.
  9. You are absolutely 100% anti-improving the safety of fans who are determined to stand irrespective of regulation and facility? Very irresponsible.
  10. Today I noticed a couple of people spend most of the game turning away from the pitch to stare in disgust and shake their heads at a few lads who were banging the advertising boards half way up, as if these lads were aliens.
  11. Ash, you actually think people sang LTID at the people leaving? Probably the most paranoid thing I've ever read. We'd just gone 2-0 down at home - why would you think it was anything other than a reaction to the goal going in? Since I started going to the football people have always sang songs like 'sing your hearts out for the lads', LTID, 'loyal supporters' and more recently the quite ridiculous 'if you're watching on the tele you're a cvnt' - all of which (except the latter) have been sung for years by a large proportion of our support. Suddenly people now take those songs personally - as if they are a slight against their personal loyalty. People complained on here when 'loyal supporters'/'sing your hearts out' were sang at Watford. Probably other occasions too. They need to grow up.
  12. Guardian said we were 'open-minded' to it, but my impressions from FCCs, UFS meetings etc. is that the Club is anything but. Would be a great first step if we could encourage them to run a consultation with fans.
  13. Especially those who fought for that exact result for over 20 years. Quite incredible. Also frustrating that the spokespeople for the Hillsborough groups quite evidently never go to games/have any interest in finding out more about alternative solutions to keep fans safe in the future. The more we stand still and fail to innovate the more at risk fans become.
  14. hahahaha that is tragic. Also, tears at geezer screeching 'TRY HARDER ÖZIL' at the end. What a set of absolute weirdos down there.
  15. There appears to have been some miscommunication when it was agreed the flags could be put on hooks regarding how those hooks could be put and secured in place. Not sure why or how the Club only raised this yesterday morning. Hopefully a resolution will be found.
  16. Issue with the way they are being hung so had to be taken down this morning. If anyone was wondering where their flag was they are safe. I felt it looked a little bare without them, shame.
  17. Sad to think our title win will be irrelevant by 2040.
  18. Other than a few coins being cobbed about the majority of the trouble was in the concourse as far as I am aware. Can't really lob seats in there so the argument is bollocks to be frank.
  19. In what way? I mean, you're sadly probably right because the powers that be have all confirm to this ridiculous Thatcherite notion that standing equals hooliganism, but 'The London Stadium' is an all-seater venue. It has nothing to do with Safe Standing. Any idiot should see that home and away fans effectively sharing a concourse is a dumb idea. No idea how WHU have been allowed to get away with this.
  20. Good article from the Guardian.
  21. It would be a small area available to people who wish to stand only. Would have zero negative impact on those wishing to sit - only positive as they'd no longer have the potential for fans to be stood in front of them.
  22. Well we already sing along for Andy King...
  23. He won a brilliant back post header when we were under pressure. Kind of summed up his night, he was excellent.
