  1. I can see the point that he hasn’t scored over 10 in a season for a number of seasons, but with service and playing the right level he might do alright. Much better option than Ayew and Daka. I am trying to find the positives! Looking forward to seeing who else we bring in. Said optimistically that we will bring more in!
  2. As mentioned before, on his day he is very good. Some of his goals have been genuine worldies. But he could be superb. Sadly, a little bit predictable and other teams have managed him accordingly. His output has not matched his hype this season so if we can cash in then it is right to do so. Also, a lot of pressure on him to perform. At the beginning of the season, we had McAteer in the wings (pun intended) to replace him. Not saying McAteer was better, or a consistent performer, but reliable and could rest Fatawu and give teams something different to think about. Hopefully Fatawu can find the right move for his career and become the best version of himself… and move to a big club (where we can benefit from the sell on fee!).
  3. Ha, is that right?! Perhaps not then! Stick with my viewpoint around a loan, as really want Jakub offloaded.
  4. This, plus a few frees and loans, would be ok. I would love a new goalkeeper. Someone like Angus Gunn, whom is on a free and needing a first team gig. When we last went down to League One, we loaned David Martin from Liverpool to play in goal and did ok. So a possible loan from the premier league maybe. Jakub really isn’t a commanding keeper. We need to work on creating a spine.
  5. £50k per week with his contract extended when he was loaned out a couple of years back. Utter madness.
  6. The press conference where Brendan spoke about how excited he was for big investment in the squad the following summer. This for me was a moment where it could have gone in another direction. But fundamentally this showed the disconnect between him and the board, who were looking down the barrel of financial gloom for not delivering what they set out for and budgeted for… European football. Losing Kasper that summer as a keeper and leader was a big one. Replacing him with Danny Ward, as we all know, didn’t go well. More recently, giving Ayew the #9 shirt and believing he would replace our GOAT without any investment just shows how little they respected the Championship.
